We are thrilled to announce that our Under-12 Football Team has emerged victorious, lifting the esteemed ‘Pheroz Kaikabod Bookbinder Trophy’ at the MSSA tournament held on 30th September 2025 at Azad Maidan, Mumbai.
This remarkable achievement is a testament to the unwavering dedication, teamwork, and passion displayed by our young athletes throughout the tournament. Their performance on the field reflects not just skill, but also the spirit and unity that define our team.
A heartfelt congratulations to our players, Head Coach Luke, the entire coaching staff, and our enthusiastic supporters who stood by the team every step of the way.
This victory marks a proud moment in our journey and will forever be remembered as a milestone that sets the stage for many more triumphs in the future.

Heartiest congratulations to our student Leon Daniyal on his outstanding victory in the Athletic race, ” Dream Dash” Grand Finale held on 26th September 2025, held at Jamnabai Narsee School , Vile Parle (W)
Leon secured :
– 1st place in the 200 metre Dash Race ( 6 and 7 years category)
– 3rd place in the 100 metre Dash Race ( 6 and 7 years category)
This proud achievement was made even more memorable by receiving the certificate from the world-renowned legend, USAIN BOLT.
Leons dedication, perseverance, and commitment to excellence have truly brought honor and inspiration to our school.

The tournament was played at the State level from 25th to 27th September 2025, at Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Balewadi, Pune.
Our boys emerged victorious with an exceptional score throughout the tournament.
The scores were as follows:
1) In the Quarter finals we beat Nagpur with a superb score of 4-0.
2) In the Semi-finals we once again beat Kolhapur with a nail biting score of 3-1 to reach the Finals.
3) In the Finals we played against the home team Pune and we emerged as winners with a score of 1-0.
Excellent Sportsmanship, Teamwork and coordination shown by our Hockey boys.
Special mention of Thanks to our Coaches, Coach Javed & Coach Datta for their untiring effort in training our boys.
Last but not the least a big Thank you to our dear Parents for always supporting the boys and being there to assist in every step, be it in coordination, communication and most of all assisting whenever the boys required first aid during the matches.

We are delighted to share that both our Hockey teams, U-14 & U-17 have secured victories in their respective categories.

In the finals held at BHA Hockey Turf, Churchgate on 23rd September 2025. Our U-14 team beat St. Andrews High School with a nail biting score of 1-0.
Our U-17 team beat St. Andrews College with a score of 1-0.
We now qualify for the DSO Inter-state matches to be held soon.
This remarkable achievement is a testament to their hard work, discipline, and true team spirit.
We extend our appreciation to the players, coaches, Coach Javed ,Coach Datta and Coach Aditya and our support staff for their dedication and commitment, which have brought pride and recognition to our school.

At the DSO City Finals held at Rajiv Gandhi Sports Complex Swimming Pool, Dharavi on 11th & 12th September 2025, the following boys were victorious in the various swimming categories:
1) Dron Palande won :
-1st Place in 200 mts Individual Medley.(Gold medal)
-2nd Place in 200 mts Breaststroke.(Silver medal)
-2nd Place in 100 mts. Breaststroke.(Silver medal)
2) Rugved Kotkar won:
-1st Place in 200 mts Backstroke. (Gold medal)
-2nd Place in 50 mts Backstroke. (Silver medal)
3) Malhar Patil won :
-2nd Place in 50 mts Breaststroke. (Silver medal)

Congratulations to our Swimming Champion Drone Palande who was victorious at the Maharashtra State Aquatic Championship held at Shree Shiv Chatrapati Sports Complex, Pune from 19th July to 21st July 2025.
Drone Palande won 3 Gold medals in the following events:
– 100 mtr Breast stroke
– 200 mtr Breast stroke
– 200 mtr Individual medley.
He also won 2 silver medals in the following categories:
– 500 mtr Breast stroke
– 100 mtr Free style
Drone will now move forward as he is selected for the Junior Nationals to be held at Ahemdabad, Gujrat from 3rd Aug to 8th Aug 2025.
Drone Palande’s dedication, discipline, and determination have made our school proud. Winning these medals is a reflection of his hard work and passion towards the sport.

The prestigious Subroto Cup (City level) was held on 6th July 2025 at the Police Football turf, Ghatkopar where Don Bosco High School, Matunga U-15 team came out victorious by winning the 3rd place, trained under our efficient coach, Coach Luke.
We won against Christ Church High School, Byculla with a score of 4-3 in the tie- breaker.
Our team showcased extremely good talent and Sportsmanship.

This workshop was held on 16th June 2025 from 03:30 pm to 05:00 pm in the Conference hall of Don Bosco High School. This workshop was conducted by Mr.Simranjit Singh, a Sports Psychologist from ‘Simply Sports’.
It was attended by the school and DBA coaches with the ardent support from our school Principal Rev. Fr Flovi Dsouza and Academy COO Mrs. Gail Serpes.
The session focussed on the importance of the Mental stability of the children in sports apart from the technical and physical skills gained.
The coaches were made aware regarding the need for having a proper channel of communication between the children and the coaches to facilitate a better understanding and reasoning for the overall development of the children.
This was taught to the coaches through an interactive activity.
The workshop stressed that the coaches should focus on empowering and educating themselves, and also involve parents and professionals when required.
The Principal of the school Rev Fr Flovi Dsouza expressed his total support to the coaches for taking sports forward in the school and shared his keen experience in the field.
Fr also expressed and emphasized on how Don Bosco Academy is excelling in creating a positive environment in sports on the premises.

Don Bosco High School, Matunga played against Mount Mary High School and won with an exceptional score of 5 – 0.
In the Semi final played on 13th Feb’25 Don Bosco High School,Matunga played against Gokuldham School and won with a score of 2 – 0.
Our School reached the Finals played on 16th Feb’25 where they played against St. Stanislaus and won with a nail biting score of 2 – 0.

* On 6th Feb’25 Don Bosco High School, Matunga played against Dominic Savio High School, Andheri with a score of 5-0.
* On 8th Feb’25 Don Bosco High School, Team A Matunga played against Children’s Academy and were once again winners with a score of 2-0.
* On 9th Feb’25 our school reached the Quarter Finals to play against Don Bosco International, however it was a draw match with a score of 0-0.
* Semi -Finals played on 13th Feb’25 Don Bosco High School, Team A, Matunga played against Don Bosco High School, Team B, Matunga and Team A were the winners with a score of 2-0.
* Don Bosco High School, Team A, Matunga reached the Finals to play against St. Stanislaus High School and we were once again victorious with a nail biting score of 1-0.
