The English Club : From words to Confidence

The English Club, initiated by the English HOD, was inaugurated on 12 August 2026 with great enthusiasm. The programme was compered by Ms. Perpetual and Ms. Carol and witnessed a huge and energetic gathering of students.

The programme began with a prayerful song, “Give Me Oil in My Lamp,” seeking God’s blessings for the club. The highlight was the official inauguration by Rev. Fr. Flovi D’Souza, who clicked the inauguration button, revealing the English Club logo on the screen with the tagline “Find Your Voice. Share Your Story.”

The students were introduced to the purpose of the club—to develop confidence, communication skills, creativity and a love for English. Fun activities such as tongue twisters and vocabulary games were conducted, with students enthusiastically guessing answers based on common starting words.

The students participated actively and enjoyed every activity. The programme concluded with the English Club Oath and a Vote of Thanks. The inauguration marked a vibrant beginning to a year of reading, speaking, creating and connecting through English.
