No Bags Day was celebrated with great joy and excitement by the students of Std. 1 on

24th January, 2026. The main aim of No Bags Day is to make learning a fun and frolic experience without the burden of school bags. The children came to school with smiling faces and full of enthusiasm, ready to enjoy a different kind of learning day.

Various joyful activities were planned for the students. As it was also Happy Saturday, the classrooms were filled with laughter, creativity, and active participation. Learning happened through games, hands-on activities, and interactive sessions, which made the day special and memorable for the children. The boys especially enjoyed doing a simple experiment, where they observed, explored, and learned basic concepts in an enjoyable way. This activity helped them develop curiosity and scientific thinking. Ms. Mary Fernandes, the class teacher of I C said, “The students enjoyed reading the scholastic book and actively took part in Maths activities planned for the day.”  Along with fun activities, the students also completed activity worksheet, which helped teachers understand their learning in a relaxed and stress-free environment. Master Niccano Fernandes of I B quipped, “I enjoyed all the activities done in class today.”

In addition to No Bags Day activities, the school also celebrated Republic Day. The importance of the Indian Constitution and the values of unity, freedom, and patriotism were explained in a simple manner suitable for young learners through a well-executed Republic Day program by the students of the primary section. The celebration filled the students with pride and respect for the nation. It also developed love for the nation and encouraged our young Boscoites to grow into responsible and proud citizens of India.

Overall, No Bags Day was a successful and joyful experience that promoted joyful learning, creativity, and holistic development among the students of Std 1.
