Tear and Stick Competition Sr KG- Marine Life Under Water
“Creativity is intelligence having fun.” – Albert Einstein
On 18th August 2025, the Senior KG students of Savio Kindergarten took part in a lively and colourful Tear and Stick Competition based on the exciting theme “Marine Life Under Water.” The classroom was filled with energy and enthusiasm as the boys used vibrant origami papers to bring their underwater imaginations to life. From graceful fish and playful dolphins to coral reefs and seaweed, their creations captured the beauty and mystery of marine life in a creative and engaging way. This hands-on art activity allowed the children to express themselves visually while exploring the fascinating world beneath the waves.
Tearing and sticking is a simple yet powerful learning experience. By tearing paper with their hands and arranging the pieces into imaginative designs, children develop important skills such as fine motor control, hand-eye coordination, and spatial awareness. The process also encourages creativity, patience, and concentration, as each step requires careful thought and attention. Every child was given colourful origami paper to explore their own ideas, making each artwork unique. The event not only brought joy but also contributed to their overall development. Certificates were awarded to the best creations after a thoughtful selection process, recognising the effort, creativity, and talent of these budding young artists.
Through such creative experiences, children not only develop artistic skills but also learn the values of patience, perseverance, and self-expression — laying the foundation for confident and thoughtful learners of tomorrow.
