Ms. Richa Singh“A Single Hope Lights Many Paths”Cultural Day is one of the most anticipated events on the academic calendar, and Std. IV celebrated the occasion with great enthusiasm, dedication, and reverence. Under the meticulous planning and visionary guidance of the Head Teacher, Mrs. Griselda Fernandes, teachers and students began their preparations well in advance, ensuring a programme that was both meaningful and memorable. The theme for the day, “A Single Hope Lights Many Paths,” was thoughtfully chosen and beautifully aligned with the spirit of Christmas—the season of joy, love, and giving. Centred on Jesus Christ as the Light of the World, the programme reflected the timeless message of hope that illuminates lives and guides hearts across all paths. As Pope Francis aptly states, “Christmas is joy, religious joy, an inner joy of light and peace.”The programme commenced with the gracious welcome of the chief guests—the esteemed members of the management. They were warmly received and deeply impressed by the aesthetically designed backdrop portraying the birth of Baby Jesus, symbolising hope, humility, and divine love for humanity. The celebration began with a melodious Welcome Song by Std. IV B, which filled the atmosphere with festive cheer and warmth. Through harmonious singing and expressive presentation, the students proclaimed the powerful truth that “Jesus is the true Light of the world,” setting the tone for the celebration. This was followed by a Prayer Dance by Std. IV A, which created a serene and reflective ambience. Through graceful movements and thoughtful narration, the students conveyed a profound message—that even the smallest light has the power to dispel darkness. Their line, “Light has no voice… yet it speaks,” left a lasting impression on the audience and beautifully reinforced the theme.Std. IV C presented a skit titled “Christmas Eve with Don Bosco,” which brought alive inspiring stories of forgiveness, peace, joy, and faith. With a creative blend of drama, humour, and energetic dance, the students effectively portrayed Don Bosco’s vision of hope and compassion. As St. John Bosco rightly said, “Do good while you still have time.”Following the skit, Rev. Fr. Rector addressed the gathering and shared a meaningful message with parents. He emphasized that gifts need not always be material or expensive, for “the most precious gift parents can offer their children is their time, presence, and love,” a thought that resonated deeply with the spirit of Christmas giving. The celebration continued with Std. IV D presenting a captivating musical play on the Nativity. The performance served as a gentle reminder that even in today’s fast-paced world, true hope continues to shine through love, courage, faith, and simple acts of goodness, affirming that good ultimately triumphs over evil.Rev. Fr. Principal expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the parents, teachers, students, and support staff for their constant cooperation, dedication, and commitment in nurturing the talents of the children. The programme concluded with meaningful addresses, a formal vote of thanks, and a joyful musical finale by Std. IV B. Each segment of the celebration reflected teamwork, discipline, and the nurturing guidance of teachers and parents. Truly, as Helen Keller said, “Hope sees the invisible, feels the intangible, and achieves the impossible.” The Cultural Day celebration of Std. IV stood as a shining testimony to this enduring truth.
