“Little hearts can hold the biggest dreams; with faith in God, courage in our hearts and hard work in our hands, every dream can take flight.”

The Sr.KG Cultural Day, held on 10th October 2026, was a vibrant celebration of creativity, talent, imagination and the infectious enthusiasm of our little boys. With the inspiring theme “Dream Big, Work Hard and Trust God’s Plan,” the programme offered our young learners a meaningful platform to express themselves with confidence while conveying values of faith, perseverance and determination.

This thought beautifully echoed throughout the celebration as the children brought the theme to life through the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, prayer dance, skits, dances and songs.

The celebration commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolising the illumination of minds and hearts with knowledge, hope and wisdom. The lighting of the lamp marks an auspicious beginning to the celebration and sets a reflective and uplifting tone for the programme.

This was followed by a graceful prayer dance, through which the children sought God’s blessings and acknowledged His guidance in every journey and endeavour.

The programme was honoured by the presence of our Rector, Rev. Fr. Godfrey D’Souza, who shared a thoughtful message on the importance of nurturing children to become good human beings and responsible members of society. He emphasised the need to guide children along the right path as they grow, instilling in them sound values, kindness and a strong moral foundation. His message served as a reminder that education extends beyond academic learning; it is equally about shaping character and preparing children to become compassionate and conscientious individuals.

Following Fr. Godfrey’s inspiring words, the boys took centre stage with their next performance, the delightful skit “Dream Big”, which celebrated the limitless aspirations of childhood, portraying young dreamers who envision themselves as a dancer, teacher, chef, scientist and athlete. Through their journey, the children conveyed the message that dreams become attainable when nurtured with self-belief, perseverance and dedicated effort.

An inspiring act portraying the remarkable journey of Mary Kom highlighted the values of determination, discipline and resilience. Through her story, the children conveyed that obstacles need not define our journey; rather, they can become stepping stones towards achieving our aspirations.

Another poignant skit depicted the humble beginnings of Don Bosco’s Oratory, revealing how a seemingly modest beginning grew into something extraordinary through faith, perseverance and an unwavering trust in God’s plan. The presentation beautifully reminded the audience that greatness can emerge from the simplest of beginnings when guided by purpose and faith.

The stage came alive with a captivating array of energetic dances and melodious singing performances. The children displayed remarkable enthusiasm, confidence and stage presence, expressing the joy and vibrancy of childhood through music and movement.

Each performance added a distinctive hue to the celebration, transforming the programme into a memorable tapestry of rhythm, expression and youthful talent.

Our Principal Rev. Fr. Flovi D’Souza, expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the teachers for their hard work, dedication and commitment. He acknowledged that the successful execution of the Cultural Day would not have been possible without their tireless efforts and collective contribution. His words recognised the teamwork and enthusiasm that went into preparing the children and bringing the programme to fruition. He particularly appreciated the teachers for their patience, creativity and dedication in nurturing the children and preparing them for their performances, recognising that the success of the programme was a reflection of the teamwork and wholehearted commitment of the entire Kindergarten family.

The Sr. KG Cultural Day was far more than a showcase of talent; it was a celebration of the dreams, potential and individuality of every child. Through their prayer, skits, dances and songs, the children beautifully embodied the spirit of the theme and reminded us that every dream deserves encouragement and every journey is enriched by faith and perseverance.

As the celebration drew to a close, the children left the audience with a simple yet profound message:

“Dream Big. Work Hard. Trust God’s Plan.”

The Sr. KG Cultural Day was truly a celebration of little hearts, big dreams and boundless possibilities, an occasion that reflects the joy of learning, the power of teamwork and the extraordinary potential of our youngest learners.
