Sr. KG – Sensory Organs Class Event

Our Sensory Organs Class Event was a delightful blend of fun, exploration, and experiential learning. The children confidently presented their colourful props and spoke simple sentences about the five sense organs. Their enthusiasm, confidence, and active participation made the event a memorable success.

A vibrant Sensory Organ Display was thoughtfully arranged in the classroom using a variety of real-life objects. The teachers demonstrated the function and importance of each sense organ through engaging, hands-on activities, allowing every child to learn by observing, listening, smelling, tasting, and touching.

The children explored eyes by looking through binoculars and observing colourful lights. They used their ears to listen to the sounds of coconut shells, musical toys, and different musical instruments. They discovered the sense of smell by identifying the fragrance of flowers, perfume, and cinnamon sticks. To experience the sense of taste, they sampled different flavours such as sour lemon, sweet honey, sugar, bitter methi powder, and spicy chilli. Through the sense of touch, they explored a variety of textures and identified objects that were hard, soft, and rough.

The boys thoroughly enjoyed every activity and eagerly participated in each sensory experience. Their curiosity, excitement, and joyful expressions reflected the wonder of discovering the world through their five senses. The hands-on experiences encouraged observation, critical thinking, and meaningful learning in a fun and engaging way.

As a special takeaway activity, each child received a star-shaped cut-out featuring the five sense organs. The children carefully drew and coloured the sensory organ images on their stars using their own creativity and imagination. They were delighted and amazed to see their beautiful artwork and proudly showcased their creativity.

The event was an enriching and memorable learning experience that helped the children understand how the five sense organs work together to help us explore, learn, and appreciate the world around us. It was truly a day filled with discovery, creativity, confidence, and joyful learning.
