"To plant a seed is to believe in tomorrow."
The topic โPlantsโ was taught in class to help children understand the parts of a plant, its basic needs, and how it grows. To strengthen their understanding and provide a practical learning experience, the children participated in a hands-on activity โ Plant a Seed.
The instructions given were as follows: each child had to bring a small pot and decorate it creatively using stickers or paint. Soil and seeds were to be provided, and the child was encouraged to plant the seed independently. They were guided to water the plant daily and carefully observe its growth. The children were also asked to maintain a Plant Growth Diary in which they recorded the different stages of planting and growth, expressed their thoughts and feelings, clicked pictures at every stage, and pasted them into their diaries. This helped them connect classroom learning with real-life experience while developing observation, creativity, and early writing skills.
The children successfully completed this activity at home with the support and guidance of their parents, making it a meaningful and enjoyable learning experience beyond the classroom. ๐ฑ
