Sr. KG Class Event on Marine Life.
“Beneath the waves lies a world of wonder — fragile, beautiful, and worth saving.”
On 24th September 2025, the Sr. KG children of Savio Kindergarten immersed themselves in the fascinating world of the ocean through their class event, “Marine Life.” To capture the essence of the deep blue sea, the children came dressed in blue T-shirts, radiating excitement and unity. Each child was assigned a distinct marine animal — Dolphin, Shark, Whale, Octopus, Crab, Starfish, Seahorse, Lobster, Turtle, Clownfish, Squid, Seal, Walrus, Penguin, Stingray, Swordfish, Angelfish, Pufferfish, Sea Lion, Eel, Hermit Crab, and Sea Urchin. With confidence and joy, they spoke about the description, importance, and uniqueness of their chosen sea creature, sharing their knowledge with great enthusiasm.
The overarching theme, “Save the Sea, Save the Ocean,” was beautifully woven throughout the program, nurturing in young minds a sense of responsibility towards marine conservation. A highlight of the event was the inspirational skit titled “Save Marine Life,” performed by the Sr. KG teachers. The skit dramatically highlighted the perils marine creatures face due to human actions such as throwing bottles and plastic waste into the ocean, leaving behind abandoned fishing nets, and polluting the seas with factory waste. The message was clear: beaches are not dustbins and must be kept clean.
The skit concluded with a powerful pledge. Children and teachers came forward holding placards that read “No Plastic,” “Save Marine Life,” and “Keep Beaches Clean.” Together, they echoed the resounding message: “Save Marine Life! Keep the Ocean Clean!” The boys also paraded around the school shouting slogans such as “Do not throw plastic in the water” and “Save Marine Life!”—further amplifying the call to action.
As a memorable takeaway, the children created vibrant headgears by decorating paper strips with drawings of fish and sea-themed stickers. Wearing their creations on stage, they looked like little ocean ambassadors, spreading cheer, creativity, and awareness. The event was not just a celebration of learning but also a gentle reminder that even the smallest hands and hearts can make the biggest difference in protecting our oceans, seas, and the life within them.
