Sr KG Activity on Colour Purple on 9th September 2025.
“Creativity is intelligence and having fun.” – Albert Einstein
As part of our colour concept learning, the children participated in an engaging activity to discover the colour purple.
An outline sheet with two boxes and a tree of hearts was given to each child. Two colours – red and blue – were distributed. The children waited patiently until both colours were handed out. Their excitement grew as they wondered what would happen next.
Finally, they were instructed to mix the two colours using their fingers. With great enthusiasm and joy, they began blending the colours. To their amazement, a new colour – purple – appeared!
This was an example of experiential learning, where children explored and discovered through hands-on activity. The topic “Colour Purple” was then introduced. The class discussed and named different objects that are purple in colour, making the learning meaningful and fun.
