SPREADING LOVE AND HOPE LIKE A SHINING CHRISTMAS STAR -       Ms. Bindu Kiny

 The stage came live as the events of Christmas panorama started on 18 December 2025 in Don Bosco High School, Matunga with the super energetic performance by the school band viewed by the management, staff and students of the secondary section seated in the quadrangle by 4pm.The students spread festive cheer by belting out numbers like wish u a merry Christmas and Santa Claus is coming to town.The young voices from grade 4 conveyed the message of God being our light in uncertainty through an act highlighting the timeless story of nativity.The students of the secondary section who participated in the hat parade jiggled wearing hats that depicted the Christmas symbols: poinsettia, cake and reindeer.The other cultural events were performed on 18 and 19 December 2025 by students of different grades of the secondary section. One could watch retro and modern vibes as the students of secondary section grooved to Bollywood hits spanning decades . Personality contests were an exciting highlight of the panorama events in which the contestants demonstrated confidence and communication skills. The standout of this segment was the Bosco King Contest contested by students of grade 10.Shriyans Kanagaraj from grade 10 valued the repetitive guidance and practice  given to them because it augmented their confidence.All the contestants were excited and motivated as they stood ready to step on the stage to render their introductory short speeches.The various rounds of the contest tested various aspects of their personality such as attire and personal style,grace and engagement with the audience, genuineness and confidence in oratory skills.The contestants rocked the runway with confidence and style.They nailed tough questions gracefully .The finalists were selected based on their overall performance in the various rounds .Based on their written responses to questions from distinguished judges,  that stimulated and challenged their cognitive skills and general awareness ,  the winners were announced .The events of the second day unfolded with the presentation of the Christmas playlet by the  students of  class 8B. They  potrayed  the life stories of a soldier, an innovator and a care giver who like Magii carried their inner light to bring hope to others.Rev Fr. Rector elevated this message by narrating the story of Liam who teaches us to welcome others in our lives thus spreading love,joy and peace.The soulful rendition of carols amplified the festive spirit.The winner of the coveted Bosco King title Shawn D’sa attributed his victory to the faith of his teachers and said that hard work and prayers, can lead to achievement of success ,but it is  important to trust the Almighty and accept the decisions he makes for us.The second runner up Arzan Bhathena expressed gratitude to his teachers,family and friends. He described  the  experience as an exciting one  that made him more confident and enabled him to learn the importance of team work and discipline.  As mentioned by one of the participants, any journey is not about the roads, but about who is with us….The Christmas panorama celebrations unified the staff in their efforts to create a meaningful journey for the students.
