Spiritual Enrichment with Newly Ordained Priest

On 8th July 2025, the Don Bosco High School community was blessed to celebrate the Holy Eucharist with Fr Felix Almeida, the newly ordained priest, as the main celebrant. The con-celebrants for the mass included Fr Godfrey (Rector), Fr Flovi (the newly appointed Principal), Fr Orville (Administrator), Fr Ajoy, Fr Joyston, and Fr Augustine. The celebration was attended by all Catholic students and staff members.

During his homily, Fr Felix reflected on the theme of the day, focusing on Jesus’ compassionate heart toward the sick and His role as the Good Shepherd. His message was deeply moving and spiritually enriching, resonating with both students and staff.

The school choir played a vital role in uplifting the liturgical spirit, helping the congregation pray more fervently and meaningfully throughout the celebration.

Following the mass, a short interactive session was held. Fr Joyston introduced Fr Felix more personally, sharing details about his background and journey to priesthood. This was followed by a question-and-answer session, during which students had the opportunity to ask Fr Felix about his vocation story. His heartfelt responses inspired many and offered deep insight into the calling of priestly life.
It was a spiritually enriching experience and a truly memorable occasion for the entire school community, made even more special by the fact that Fr Felix is a proud alumnus of Don Bosco High School, Matunga.
