Savio Kindergarten – Nursery celebrated fruit day on 4th October 2025.
“Fruits are Fun, Let’s Taste Everyone!”
Nursery students celebrated a vibrant and fun-filled Fruit Day on 4th October 2025, with a series of engaging activities designed to introduce them to the colourful and nutritious world of fruits.
Each child was given a specific fruit to represent and came dressed accordingly, adding a cheerful burst of colour to the day. As part of the event, every student spoke two sentences about their assigned fruit, helping them build confidence in public speaking while learning new facts.
Leading up to the event, the children took part in a creative art activity where they used bud painting to decorate fruit-shaped cutouts. These were later turned into lovely fruit baskets, which each child received as a special keepsake.
On Fruit Day itself, children were encouraged to bring their favourite fruits for tiffin, turning snack time into a delicious and interactive experience.
To deepen their understanding, a fun sorting game was held where students grouped plastic fruits and vegetables into the correct categories. This activity helped reinforce their knowledge and sharpen their classification skills.
The celebration also highlighted the importance of fruits in a healthy diet. Through songs, videos, and fun discussions, children learned that fruits are full of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that help the body grow strong, fight illness, and stay healthy.
Laughter and learning filled the day as students enjoyed tasting fruits, sharing what they learned, and celebrating good nutrition in a playful way. Fruit Day was not only educational, but also a wonderful opportunity to promote healthy eating habits and encourage a lifelong love for fruits.
