Mrs. Kashmira Rodrigues
“Republic Day reminds us that the strength of our nation lies in upholding the values of our Constitution through unity, responsibility, and respect.”
The Republic Day celebration was commemorated with solemn dignity and vibrant patriotic spirit, reflecting the school’s deep respect for the democratic ideals of the nation. The programme commenced with a thought-provoking quote on Republic Day, eloquently reaffirming the timeless values of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity enshrined in the Constitution of India. Members of the management and parents were accorded a gracious welcome, setting a tone of reverence and national pride for the proceedings.
The highlight of the event was an articulate and confident address by Master Shrehan Bhoir, who insightfully underscored the significance of the Constitution and the vital role of young citizens in safeguarding democratic principles. This was followed by a compelling skit presented by the boys of Std II and Std IV, which creatively portrayed themes of unity in diversity, freedom, and civic responsibility, leaving a lasting impression on the audience.
The cultural segment was further elevated by an elegant patriotic dance performed by Mrs. Komal Shirodkar, whose expressive choreography symbolised devotion and gratitude towards the motherland. The atmosphere resonated with national pride as the boys rendered a soul-stirring patriotic song, evoking a collective sense of unity and reverence among all present.
The Rector’s address served as a powerful reminder of the historical significance of Republic Day and the enduring relevance of constitutional values in contemporary society. Emphasising discipline, integrity, and social responsibility, he encouraged students to embody these ideals in thought and action. The programme culminated on an inspiring note, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to nurturing responsible and conscientious citizens of India.
Mrs. Sonia Kasare aptly remarked that Republic Day is not merely a celebration of our Constitution, but a solemn reminder of the responsibility each citizen bears in preserving the democratic ideals upon which our nation stands. She emphasized that true patriotism is reflected in integrity, respect for diversity, and a sincere commitment to nation-building through everyday actions.
Master Advait of Std IV A expressed that Republic Day fills him with pride and gratitude, as it reminds him of the freedom won through great sacrifice and the Constitution that guides the nation. He shared that celebrating this day inspires students to respect the tricolour, follow the rules of the country, and grow into responsible citizens who serve India with honesty and unity.
