Report on Ward-Level Mono Acting Competition

The Ward-Level Mono Acting Competition was held on 24 August 2026 at DS High School, Sion. The competition was conducted in three categories: the Junior Category for students of Std. V to VII, the Senior Category for students of Std. VIII to X, and the Teachers’ Category. Students and teachers from various schools participated enthusiastically, showcasing their creativity, confidence, and talent in mono acting.

In the Junior Category, Manas Thakur of Std. VI D represented the school and gave an impressive performance on the topic, “A Conversation Between a Toy and a Student.” His presentation carried a clear and meaningful message, and he portrayed his character with excellent expressions, confidence, effective voice modulation, and commendable acting skills.

In the Senior Category, Arnav Redij of Std. IX D represented the school and delivered a very good performance. He displayed confidence, expressive acting, effective dialogue delivery, and a strong stage presence throughout his presentation.

In the Teachers’ Category, Ms. Hemangi Sawant participated and presented her act with confidence and dedication. Her performance reflected excellent voice modulation, expressions, dialogue delivery, and acting skills, showing sincere preparation and commitment.

The competition began at 10:45 a.m. and concluded at 3:45 p.m. Though the programme was lengthy, it provided a valuable and enriching platform for all the participants. Overall, the competition was a rewarding experience that encouraged students and teachers to develop their confidence, creativity, expression, voice modulation, dialogue delivery, and stage presence, while further nurturing their performing skills.
