The Teachers Enrichment Programme – Scholastic was conducted from 5th May 2025, every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. via Zoom video conference, under the guidance of Ms. Jyotsna Singh. The participants included Ms. Raveena D’Souza, Ms. Ann Miranda, Mrs. Pallavi Shah, Ms. Divya George, Mrs. Mahek Patoli, Mrs. Hemanya Thouti, and Mrs. Jasmine Mary. The programme aimed to enhance language and teaching skills, focusing on innovative classroom strategies, effective communication, and emotional awareness. Various modules covered topics such as grammar in context, questioning techniques, vocabulary development, inferencing, narrative writing, and the integration of higher-order thinking skills (HOTS). Sessions also emphasized critical conversations on cyberbullying, setting healthy boundaries, and understanding body language to foster confidence and empathy in both teaching and personal growth.

Throughout the sessions, Ms. Jyotsna maintained an interactive and practical approach. Each class concluded with task assignments and began with a review of participants’ work. Her detailed feedback, appreciation for good efforts, and constructive suggestions motivated teachers to improve their classroom practices and explore creative methods of instruction. Teachers also learned to integrate poetic devices, design problem-solution activities, and build critical thinking through contextual grammar and vocabulary exercises. The sessions were not only professionally enriching but also deeply reflective, allowing teachers to connect their teaching methods with emotional intelligence and student well-being.

Participants shared heartfelt feedback on their learning experience. Ms. Raveena D’Souza stated that Ms. Jyotsna’s empathy as a mentor reminded teachers to carry the same compassion toward their students. Ms. Deepa expressed that “The Teachers’ Enrichment Program by Ms. Jyotsna Singh was very informative and beneficial. The sessions were interactive, practical, and helped enhance our teaching skills. I sincerely thank Ms. Pauline and Mrs. Anita for organizing such a meaningful and motivating program.” Similarly, Mrs. Pallavi Shah described it as “A Lifelong Learning Experience,” saying, “This empowering journey was a breath of fresh air, infusing us with enthusiasm and confidence. Jyotsna’s ‘can-do’ attitude and infectious energy made the program a page-turner. It beautifully balanced navigating the classroom with nurturing our well-being.” Adding to this, Ms. Ann shared her personal feedback stating, “The enrichment program provided a platform for teachers to refresh their perspectives and learn innovative strategies for classroom engagement. The sessions were thoughtfully structured and engaging. It was a wonderful opportunity for professional growth and reflection.”
