Report on Swachhata Pakhwada

The Swachhata Pakhwada programme was observed in our school from 16th to 30th September 2025 with a series of engaging and meaningful activities aimed at fostering awareness about cleanliness, hygiene, and environmental protection. The programme commenced on 16th September with a pledge-taking ceremony, where students solemnly promised to uphold the values of cleanliness and responsibility towards their surroundings. This was followed by Awareness Days on 17th and 18th September, during which students explored the significance of rainwater harvesting. A working model was prepared and effectively explained by Mst. Viaan Pinto, enriching his peers’ understanding of sustainable practices. On 19th September, the Green School Drive Day was observed with the theme “Say No to Plastic,” where students showcased creative posters and slogans depicting the harmful impact of plastic use. The subsequent Community Outreach Days on 20th and 21st September gave students the opportunity to interact with community members and spread the message of cleanliness beyond the school walls.
The momentum continued with Handwash Days on 22nd and 23rd September, where teachers used interactive PPT presentations to highlight the importance of proper handwashing in maintaining good health. On 24th and 25th September, students actively participated in Sucheta Partik Participation Day through diverse activities. Standard I students cleaned their school surroundings, homes….., while also preparing colouring sheets on the theme of cleanliness. Standard II held a vibrant quiz competition, Standard III designed clay models promoting hygiene and sanitation, and Standard IV eloquently expressed their thoughts in an elocution competition. On 26th September, Personal Hygiene Day was observed, with Miss Divya delivering an informative talk supported by a PPT presentation, guiding students from Standards I to IV on essential practices of personal hygiene.
The celebrations culminated with a showcase of talent and creativity. On 27th September, a School Exhibition Day was organized, where students’ posters, paintings, and models were proudly displayed. The Action Plan Discussions held on 28th and 29th September encouraged community members to share constructive suggestions for sustaining cleanliness and a green environment. Finally, on 30th September, the programme concluded with a Prize Distribution Ceremony, where students were recognized and awarded for their enthusiastic participation. The fortnight-long observance not only instilled the value of cleanliness and hygiene among students but also created a ripple effect of awareness in the larger community, making the programme both impactful and memorable.
