Red Day Celebration – Nursery Section

“Red is the colour of energy and cheer,
Of apples, cars, and love so dear.
It’s bold, it’s bright, it lights the way,
We had so much fun on Red Day!”

The Nursery section of Don Bosco High School, Matunga radiated joy and vibrancy as the little boys celebrated Red Day on 26th July 2025, with great enthusiasm and delight. The classrooms were brilliantly decorated with eye-catching red objects and glowing red balloons, creating a lively and festive atmosphere that instantly caught everyone’s attention.

The children looked adorable and spirited, dressed in various striking shades of red—from crimson and cherry to scarlet and vermilion. To reinforce the concept, the boys brought along red-coloured objects from home, such as apples, cars, balls, and toys, proudly showcasing them during the day.

A major highlight of the celebration was the creative painting activity, where the boys used sponge to paint their favourite cars red. Their charming artwork was later displayed on the classroom board, transforming the space into a mini art gallery.

Adding to the excitement, the boys took part in a fun letter-posting activity, where they joyfully posted their handmade red letters into a bright red post box specially set up in the classroom. This simple yet engaging activity sparked curiosity, enhanced fine motor coordination, and gave the children a hands-on experience of how letters are posted—linking learning with real-life concepts.

To make the celebration even more special, each child was gifted a bright red balloon and the car they painted as takeaway — a simple gesture that brought delightful smiles and added to the joyful memories of the day.

To motivate their little ones, parents also participated in the event by wearing red.

Red Day was a vibrant and joyful celebration that filled the hearts of our little learners with happiness, creativity, and confidence. It also fostered self-expression, encouraged fine motor skills, and promoted a sense of togetherness.
It was a day filled with smiles, laughter, and colourful memories that will be cherished for a long time.

“Every colour tells a story — and red reminds us to celebrate life with energy, love, and joy!”
