P.T.A. General Body Meeting 2026–2027

The P.T.A. General Body Meeting of Don Bosco Primary School, Matunga, for the academic year 2026–2027 was held on 30th June, 2026 in Fr. Joseph Casti Hall. The meeting for Standards I and II commenced at 8:00 a.m., while the meeting for Standards III and IV was held at 9:30 a.m. The gathering witnessed the enthusiastic participation of parents, staff members, and the school management, reflecting the strong bond between the school and its parent community.

The programme began with a warm welcome by Mrs. Alareen Rodrigues, Secretary, who expressed her appreciation to the parents for their presence and continued support. Our Rector, Rev. Fr. Godfrey D’Souza, then led the gathering in prayer, invoking God’s blessings on the students, parents, and educators as they embarked on a new academic year.

In his keynote address, based on the theme “Do Whatever He Says,” Rev. Fr. Godfrey D’Souza highlighted the importance of positive parenting and the need to create a nurturing environment for children. He emphasized that parents and teachers are partners in a child’s educational journey and share the responsibility of shaping children into compassionate, responsible, and value-based individuals. He encouraged parents to lead by example and guide their children with love, discipline, and understanding.

Rev. Fr. Flovi D’Souza, Principal, addressed the gathering and congratulated the entire school community on the excellent SSC Board Examination results, which stand as a testimony to the commitment and hard work of the students, teachers, and parents. He introduced the Smart School – Know My School App as the school’s official communication platform and urged parents to make regular use of it to stay informed about school activities and updates. He also highlighted the introduction of the Sports Division and the valuable role played by the Don Bosco Sports Academy in promoting physical fitness and holistic development among students. Additionally, he stressed the importance of regular attendance, punctuality, discipline, and adherence to school rules and policies.

Our Administrator, Rev. Fr. Orville Coutinho, shared updates on the various developmental initiatives and infrastructural improvements undertaken by the school for the benefit of the students. He assured the parents that the institution remains committed to providing a safe, conducive, and enriching learning environment.

Mrs. Griselda Fernandes, Head Teacher, briefed the parents on important school guidelines and procedures to be followed during the academic year. She also explained the P.T.A. election process and encouraged parents to actively participate in school initiatives and contribute meaningfully to the growth of the institution.

The meeting concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks proposed by Mrs. Alareen Rodrigues. She expressed her gratitude to the management, staff, and parents for their cooperation and active participation. The meeting ended on a positive and hopeful note, reaffirming the spirit of collaboration and reinforcing the strong partnership between parents and the school in ensuring the holistic development and well-being of every child.
