"Every child begins their educational journey with curiosity, wonder, and endless possibilities. Together, parents and teachers help shape that journey into a meaningful and joyful experience."

With this spirit, Don Bosco Pre-Primary Matunga warmly welcomed the parents of the Pre-Primary and Nursery students for the Orientation Programme on 20th June 2026 for the Academic Year 2026–2027.

The programme commenced with a prayer led by our Rector, Rev. Fr. Godfrey D'Souza, invoking God's blessings upon the children, parents, teachers, and the entire school community.

Parents were then introduced to the members of the school management team. The Orientation Programme also included the introduction of the dedicated Nursery and Pre-Primary teaching and non –teaching staff. Parents had the opportunity to meet the educators who will guide, nurture, and support their children throughout the academic year.

Addressing the gathering, Fr. Godfrey highlighted the importance of guiding young children with love, discipline, and clear boundaries. Referring to the Salesian Strenna for 2026–2027, "Do Whatever He Tells You – Believers Free to Serve," he encouraged parents and educators to work together in nurturing faith, responsibility, and good values. He emphasized the need for healthy routines, limited screen time, attentive listening, and character formation based on Don Bosco's principles of reason, religion, and loving-kindness.

Fr. Principal welcomed the parents and introduced the school staff. He shared the school's vision of providing a holistic education that promotes academic excellence, creativity, character formation, and emotional well-being. He highlighted the importance of collaboration between parents and teachers in creating a nurturing environment where every child can thrive. He highlighted the school's excellent SSC results with a 100% pass percentage and encouraged parents to regularly use the School App for updates. He also emphasized the importance of regular attendance and requested parents to adhere to the school's leave policy to support their child's learning.

Fr. Orville expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all the parents for their generous contributions and continued support. He highlighted that their generosity plays a vital role in helping maintain the school and its facilities. He also shared that ongoing improvement and maintenance work is constantly being carried out across different areas of the school premises to ensure a safe, welcoming, and enriching environment for the children.

The second part of the programme was conducted by Mrs. Rochelle D'Souza, Pre-Primary Supervisor. She shared important information regarding school procedures, attendance, communication channels, classroom expectations, and the overall functioning of the Nursery and Pre-Primary sections. Parents were also introduced to the school's Extra Supportive Education Programme and the importance of early intervention whenever additional support may be required.

The Orientation Programme concluded on a positive note, strengthening the bond between parents and the school community. It reaffirmed the shared commitment to nurturing confident, responsible, and compassionate young learners.

As we begin the Academic Year 2026–2027, we look forward to a year filled with learning, growth, faith, and joyful experiences for all our children.
