26th July is celebrated as Parents day in honour of Saints Joachim and Anne, parents of Mother Mary and grandparents of Jesus Christ. A special day as this should be dedicated to all parents who are pillars of love and strength for their children right from the time they come into this world. This special day was celebrated in Don Bosco Matunga on 26th July 2025 in Fr. Bernard Hall. The Parent representatives from Pre Primary, Primary and Secondary sections attended the function as they represented all parents of the school. The Student Council along with their teachers organised a programme which began by invoking God’s blessings, followed by a meaningful address, melodious music, heartfelt skit and a purposeful dance which kept the parents interested and engaged. Principal, Fr. Flovi D’Souza and Parent Vice President, Ms. Barkha Shah addressed the gathering, stating the significance of the day and the sacrifices that parents make inspite of hardships to give their children the best. As the program concluded, with a group picture for memories to be carried, Parents were also given tokens of gratitude and appreciation and some delicious snacks. Parents were delighted with the whole experience and expressed their gratitude to teachers present there, returning home with happy memories.
