There is virtue in work and there is virtue in rest. Use both and overlook neither.

DBHS organised a joyful staff picnic to Palm Beach Resort, Gorai on 13th and 14th February. The picnic was planned as an overnight-and-a-day outing, giving the staff a much-needed break from their busy routines.

The overnight stayers reached the resort on 13th February and immediately slipped into holiday mode. The evening was filled with fun games, tasty snacks, lively music, and energetic dancing. A special highlight of the night was the midnight cake cutting to celebrate Ms. Reshama’s birthday, which added warmth and cheer to the gathering. Laughter, bonding, and relaxation marked the end of the first day.

On 14th February, the remaining staff members left the school by bus in the morning and arrived at the resort to a hearty breakfast. This was followed by engaging games such as housie, thoughtfully organised by the teachers themselves. The mood stayed festive with more dancing before everyone sat down for a delicious lunch at 2.30 pm. Snacks were served later in the afternoon, and the staff began their return journey at 4.30 pm. In a nut shell, The picnic left everyone feeling refreshed, relaxed, and rejuvenated, carrying back happy memories and stronger bonds.

Sharing feedback by some of our teachers , Ms. Christina said “it was a good occasion for bonding. This bonding breaks the ice and helps in the interaction much better.” Ms. Daksha felt it was a well-deserved break after the busy schedule of Panorama, Annual Day, and board exams—a time to de-stress, mingle, laugh, dance, and enjoy good food and company. Ms. Perpetual shared that the sea-side setting turned exhaustion into joy, and thanked Fr. Flovi for the refreshing break that made everyone feel valued and appreciated.
