An informative Awareness Session on Occupational Therapy was conducted for the parents of students from Kindergarten to Standard II with the aim of providing insights into the importance and role of Occupational Therapy in early childhood development.
The session was held on 12 July 2025. The resource person Dr. Franzina Coutinho, an experienced Occupational Therapist from Inspirium Holistic Care, Bandra shared her expertise and provided valuable information on how Occupational Therapy supports children in achieving independence in their daily activities, improving motor skills, sensory processing, and social participation.
The session began with a warm welcome and introduction of the speaker by Ms. Divya Immanuel, who highlighted Dr. Coutinho’s credentials and her commitment to child development through a holistic approach.
During the session, Dr. Coutinho emphasized the early signs that may indicate the need for Occupational Therapy and how timely intervention can significantly enhance a child’s academic and personal development.
