“Learning comes alive when little minds step out to explore the world around them.”
To make learning more engaging, joyful, and truly experiential, a delightful and carefully planned field trip was organized for the Nursery boys as part of their transport lesson. This special outing was particularly thrilling as it marked their very first bus journey together as classmates — a milestone filled with excitement and wonder.
7th March 2026 will always be remembered as a bright and cheerful day in our Nursery calendar. With sparkling eyes and beaming smiles, the little boys eagerly boarded the big yellow bus, their tiny hands waving with excitement. As the engine hummed gently to life, they joyfully sang “Wheels of the Bus…”, their sweet voices filling the air with happiness. The atmosphere was lively and vibrant, echoing with innocent laughter and animated chatter as they settled into their seats, peeping curiously through the wide windows, ready for their grand adventure.
As the sturdy bus smoothly rolled onto the bustling roads, our young explorers observed the different types of roadways — long, sweeping highways, narrow winding lanes, and busy, buzzing intersections. They watched attentively as vehicles zoomed past, realizing how roads beautifully connect people and places. Their curiosity grew stronger when they arrived at a busy petrol pump. With fascinated expressions, they watched cars and buses being carefully refuelled, learning about the essential role of fuel in keeping transportation moving efficiently.
The journey became even more exciting when they spotted a tall traffic signal glowing brightly. As the lights changed from red to yellow to green, the boys enthusiastically recited the poem “Traffic Light” with great confidence. The teacher patiently explained how red means stop, yellow means wait, and green means go, turning a simple roadside sight into a lively and meaningful learning experience.
The most breathtaking moment of the trip was witnessing the sleek monorail gliding gracefully along its elevated tracks across the city skyline. The boys gazed upwards in awe and amazement as the train moved swiftly and smoothly above them, making their very first field trip feel grand, magical, and unforgettable.
To reinforce their joyful learning, the boys later participated in a colourful and creative activity by carefully colouring a traffic signal worksheet. This hands-on task not only strengthened their understanding but also allowed them to express their creativity in a fun and memorable way.
The field trip was a heartwarming blend of education, adventure, and joyful discovery. It enriched their understanding of transportation while giving them their first delightful experience of travelling together as friends. Indeed, it was a day filled with precious memories, bright smiles, and meaningful learning that will remain close to their hearts for a long time.
