Don Bosco Primary High School, Matunga, observed National Deworming Day on October 27, 2026, with the aim of promoting the health, nutrition, and personal hygiene of students. The initiative covered all boys from Classes 1 to 4 in the primary section.

The programme was conducted under the direct supervision of the class teachers, following the guidelines issued by the Education Department and the concerned health authorities. Special care was taken to ensure the safety and well-being of every child throughout the process.

As a precautionary measure, teachers contacted parents directly and handed over the deworming tablets to them instead of distributing them to students in the classroom. Parents were clearly instructed regarding the correct dosage and were advised that the tablet must be thoroughly chewed before swallowing.

Special medical precautions were also communicated to parents. Those whose children suffered from chronic medical conditions, such as cancer or thalassemia, were advised to consult their medical specialist before administering the tablet. Parents of children experiencing fever, cough, common cold, or other minor illnesses were instructed to wait until their child had fully recovered.

The initiative was carried out with care, responsibility, and effective communication. Through this programme, the school reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding students’ health, encouraging healthy habits, and ensuring their overall well-being.
