'My Lord and My God' Solemnity of St. Thomas the Apostle'

The staff and students of Don Bosco High School, Matunga, gathered prayerfully to celebrate the Solemnity of St Thomas the Apostle. The Eucharistic celebration brought together the students of both the secondary and primary sections. The First Friday mass dedicated to Sacred Heart of Jesus also coincided with the feast of Saint Thomas the Apostle, reminding everyone of the importance of faith, trust, and courageous witness to Christ.

The Holy Mass was solemnly celebrated by Fr. Flovi D'Souza, Principal of Don Bosco High School, Matunga. The con-celebrants were Fr Godfrey, Fr Vinod, Fr Augustine and Fr Orville. In his inspiring homily, Fr. Flovi reflected on God's infinite mercy and encouraged everyone to surrender their lives completely to His holy will. He reminded the students that every new beginning is an invitation to deepen their relationship with God and to place their hopes, fears, and aspirations in His loving hands.

Addressing the challenges that students may encounter during the academic year, Fr. Flovi urged them not to lose heart but to face every difficulty with faith, courage, and confidence in the Lord. He emphasized that when God is at the centre of our lives, every obstacle becomes an opportunity for growth and every success becomes a means of giving greater glory to Him. His message inspired both students and staff to begin the year with renewed faith, determination, and trust in God's guidance.

Filled with hope and strengthened by the grace of the Holy Eucharist, the staff and students left with a renewed commitment to live the theme "Only You, Christ" in their daily lives. The celebration served as a meaningful reminder that with Christ as their guide, they can journey through the new academic year with faith, wisdom, and unwavering confidence.
