Mother’s Love Shapes the World : 5A Assembly

“Behind every strong character is often a mother who taught the value of love and goodness.”

- Mrs. Selma Gonsalves

On 11th September 2026, the students of Class 5 A presented a beautiful and meaningful assembly on the theme “A Mother’s Love Shapes the World.” The opening highlighted how a mother’s love, guidance, values and sacrifices shape a child’s character and future. This was beautifully connected to the inspiring relationship between Don Bosco and his mother, Mamma Margaret, whose love, faith and teachings deeply influenced his life and mission.

The assembly began with the lighting of the lamp by the Principal, Head Teacher and Class PTA representative, followed by a peaceful meditation led by the Class Teacher, Mrs. Selma Gonsalves. The Prayer Dance was a graceful and prayerful presentation that was greatly appreciated by the audience. The highlight was a meaningful skit depicting the childhood experiences of A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Mahatma Gandhi, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar and Don Bosco, showing how their mothers and childhood values helped shape their lives.

A touching song dedicated to mothers and a lively dance on “Meri Maa” added warmth and joy to the assembly. Rev. Fr. Rector shared an inspiring story about a mother and reminded everyone to love and be grateful to their mothers. Rev. Fr. Principal spoke about the importance of discipline.

The assembly was a heartwarming celebration of motherly love, gratitude and values, reminding everyone that a mother’s love shapes character, inspires dreams and helps build a better world.
