“The best kind of days are those filled with sunshine, laughter, friendship and memories made along the way.” — Anonymous
The students of Standards I, II and III of Don Bosco High School, Matunga, embarked on their much-awaited school picnic on 23rd September 2026, eagerly looking forward to a day filled with fun, adventure, friendship and new experiences. Organized by the school, the picnic offered each group an exciting destination thoughtfully suited to their age and interests.
The day began with a prayer, remembering God and seeking His blessings for a safe, joyful and memorable outing, followed by an impactful morning talk by our school Administrator, Rev. Fr. Orville Coutinho, who set the perfect tone for the day ahead. Soon, the excitement among the children reached an all-time high as they set off for their respective destinations.
The students of Standard I spent a delightful day at Play ‘N’ Learn, where learning and play came together beautifully. The little ones enthusiastically explored the various activities and play zones. Some dressed up and imagined themselves as doctors, while others enjoyed riding vehicles independently. The sand play area, colourful ball pools, slides and other attractions kept them thoroughly engaged. Their laughter and excitement filled the venue as they moved from one activity to another, enjoying every moment with their friends.
Master Kritveer Singh Matta of Class I C shared his excitement, saying, “I enjoyed the picnic today. I played with the colourful balls and slides. The most fun part was Sally’s Water Lab.” His words reflected the joy and enthusiasm of the young learners as they explored and enjoyed their day.
The students of Standards II and III had an action-packed and enriching day at Kidzania, Ghatkopar. The interactive activities provided them with opportunities to step into different roles and experience the world of work in an engaging and enjoyable manner. From becoming pilots and firefighters to bakers, delivery persons and ambulance staff, the children enthusiastically participated in a variety of role-playing experiences. They also enjoyed exciting simulations, including flying an aircraft and experiencing a wildlife safari.
The students were especially excited to earn Kidzos, the special currency of KidZania. While some chose to save their earnings for future activities, others happily spent them on experiences and treats of their choice.
The students of Class III C, Master Vrish Chaudhari and Master Asher Ribeiro, expressed their excitement about collecting Kidzos and spending them on making their favourite doughnuts at MOD, as well as learning to make biscuits.
Adding to the festive spirit were lively Zumba sessions, where students and teachers danced together with great enthusiasm. The music, laughter and energetic moves created an atmosphere of joy and togetherness. Ms. Tejashree Tatkare, Class Teacher of Std. III D, expressed her happiness at seeing the students enjoy themselves while discovering and learning new things.
The picnic was truly a memorable experience, bringing together fun, learning, friendship and adventure. The students returned with beaming smiles, wonderful stories and cherished memories that will remain with them for a long time. It was indeed a day where every adventure became a memory and every moment became a story to remember.
