KG Supervisor Ms.Rochelle’s Birthday cum Diwali Celebration in the Fr.Bernard Hall on 16th October 2025.

“A thankful heart is the brightest light that shines — celebrating life, love, and the joy of togetherness.”
On 16th October 2025, the KG and Nursery sections of Savio Kindergarten witnessed a joyous double celebration — the Birthday of our Nursery and KG Supervisor, Ms. Rochelle D’Souza, and the Festival of Lights, Diwali. The hall was filled with laughter, music, live performances by students, and heartfelt contributions by teachers and staff, making it a truly memorable occasion.
The celebration began with a warm welcome to our esteemed Management — Rev. Fr. Godfrey Dsouza (Rector), Rev. Fr. Orville Coutinho (Administrator), Ms. Pearl Lobo represented the primary section. The programme was compèred by Ms. Quency, who guided the event with poise and enthusiasm.
The morning opened with a special welcome by the Jr. KG boys, who presented a flower to Ms. Rochelle, expressing love and affection. This was followed by a Prayer Service, led by Ms. Natty and Ms. Bhavika, offering prayers and Bible readings for the Birthday and Diwali, invoking God’s blessings of light, peace, and joy upon all.
A graceful Prayer Dance by the Sr. KG children beautifully expressed devotion and gratitude through movement.
Ms. Rochelle was then honoured and adorned by teachers and PTA members:
● Sash: Mareeswari, Chetna, Jamuna, and Jr. A PTA member
● Tiara: Bhavika, Rita, Arokia, and Jr. B PTA member
● Bouquet: Larissa, Betty, Ranjan, Jr. C and Sr. C PTA members
● Birthday Card: Quency, Tasneem, Deepa, Sr. A and Sr. B PTA members
● Birthday Gift (on behalf of KG staff): Rytika, Berlin, and Natty
The Cake Cutting Ceremony followed, joined by the Management and Ms. Rochelle, accompanied by the cheerful singing of “Happy Birthday.” The Sr. KG boys then presented a touching Acrostic on ROCHELLE, describing her admirable qualities and loving nature.
A lively Medley of Songs, introduced by Ms. Tasneem and Ms. Chetna, added rhythm and energy to the celebration. Ms. Rita delivered the Words of Appreciation, highlighting Ms. Rochelle’s guidance, patience, and inspirational leadership.
Rev. Fr. Godfrey Dsouza, our Rector, shared his kind thoughts, reflecting on the importance of giving thanks to God for the gift of life — correlating beautifully with Ms. Rochelle’s birthday. He also highlighted the essence of Diwali — just as light dispels darkness, children should be a source of light in the lives of friends and family, being joyful and playful yet kind and thoughtful. He concluded by offering Diwali blessings to all students, teachers, staff, families, and special blessings to Ms. Rochelle on her birthday.
Having been showered with love, hugs, wishes, performances, and surprises from students and teachers, Ms. Rochelle expressed her heartfelt gratitude, sharing her thanks for making her birthday truly memorable.
The event concluded with a warm Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to PTA members, teachers, staff, and students for their wonderful efforts in making the celebration special. A special thanks was extended to those who helped with decorations, managing the hall, lights and sound, rehearsals, and the thoughtful arrangements that made the day seamless.
On behalf of all students, staff, teachers, parents, and PTA members of Savio Kindergarten, we wish everyone a very Happy and Joyous Diwali. May we all stay blessed and continue to be a blessing to others.
