Honouring the Spirit of Childhood
On 14th November the Children’s Day Assembly conducted by Class 5A was a vibrant and inspiring programme filled with learning, reflection, and celebration. The event began with a warm welcome by the comperes, followed by a brief highlight on the importance of the day through a guest appearance of a student dressed as Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. The student shared Nehru’s contributions as India’s first Prime Minister and his deep love for children.
The assembly continued with a calming meditation session led by the class teacher Ms. Reena Singh, helping students relax and focus. The main highlight was the thought-provoking skit “Great works are performed not by strength but by perseverance.” The skit showcased a group of students participating in a “Young Innovators Challenge,” overcoming self-doubt, failure, and frustration to successfully create a simple water purifier. Their journey demonstrated teamwork, resilience, and the value of learning from mistakes.
The assembly also included lively songs and dances, adding joy and energy. A touching prayer by a parent and the clas teacher Ms.Reena Singh emphasized gratitude, kindness, safety, and the importance of nurturing children’s dreams.The students of Class 5A displayed remarkable confidence, creativity, and teamwork throughout the programme.
The assembly concluded with Rev Fr. Rector. Fr. Godfrey’s words of appreciation. The programme beautifully conveyed the moral that success comes from perseverance, unity, and believing in oneself.
