First Friday Mass Celebration

The First Friday Mass for the month of August was solemnly celebrated on 7 August 2026 at the Shrine of Mary Help of Christians. The Eucharistic celebration was led by the main celebrant, Fr. Ajoy Fernandes, and concelebrated by Fr. Orville Coutinho, Fr. Godfrey D'Souza, and Fr. Flovi D'Souza.
The congregation comprised Catholic students from Grades V to X, along with teachers, parents, and well-wishers, who gathered in prayer and devotion.
In his homily, Fr. Ajoy reflected on the Gospel passage from Matthew 16:24–28, emphasizing Jesus' call to true discipleship. He explained that "whoever loses his life for Christ will gain it, and whoever seeks only to gain his life will lose it," reminding the faithful that following Christ requires self-denial, sacrifice, and complete trust in God. He encouraged everyone to embrace the Cross with faith, knowing that a life lived for Christ leads to eternal life and true fulfilment.
