We visited the museum to learn new things. I saw different kinds of stuffed birds and animals. I learnt about ‘Kaavad – story in a box’ too. I enjoyed and learnt as well.

Today we visited the CSMVS Museum in Mumbai. The museum is 104 years old. We saw ancient fossils and learnt about animals, birds, Harappan civilization and the different weapons used in the olden days. Teacher explained to us about the extinct birds and animals. In the Amphitheatre we learned about “Kaavad” from Rajasthan that is used to tell stories. I enjoyed my day at the Museum.

The school trip to the museum helped me learn about many birds and animals and what makes them special. It was the best day because I learned new things and saw them with my own eyes.

Todas school field trip to the museum was very interesting. We saw statues of different kinds of Gods from the 12th century. The teacher at the amphitheatre told us a story about “Where is the Elephant” using a wooden box made in Rajasthan known as the ‘kaavad. The teachers explained to us about the different artifacts and we came back with a fun worksheet to solve.

Today we visited the CSMVS museum. We learned new facts about birds. The display of weapons and artifacts was very interesting.

The guide told us two interesting stories at the amphitheatre. I enjoyed sitting on those steps and listening to her. I also thoroughly enjoyed posing for photographs that my class teacher was taking. I was wondering how the knights wore such heavy armour and fought the battles.

At the amphitheatre, the guide told us two interesting stories, using a wooden kaavad. She told us that kaavads were made in Rajasthan and used for storytelling, just like a wooden book filled with colourful pictures.

The girl guide at the amphitheatre asked if anyone of us knew the full name of the museum. She then told us that the full name of the museum is Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sanghralaya. It is 104 years old and was used as a hospital during the Spanish Flu pandemic. I was very interested to hear all this.

There were many foreigners visiting the museum and they were taking many photographs of us, which was making us feel very excited.
