On 22nd September 2025, the students of Std V and VI presented a vibrant Social Science Exhibition in Don bosco High School, Matunga, from 9:00 am to 11:30 am. Under the expert guidance of their Social Science teachers and with the constant support of Mrs. Daksha Tandel, Supervisor of Std V & VI, the students showcased projects that blended knowledge, research, and creativity.
The exhibition was formally inaugurated by the Rector, Rev. Fr. Godfrey D’Souza, and Fr. Flovi D’Souza, Principal, who praised the students’ hard work and encouraged them to pursue their academic interests with dedication.
The displays covered a wide range of themes:
Std V presented charts and models on time measurement, prehistoric and historic periods, conventional signs, symbols, and the solar system. They also created 3D models illustrating the formation of Earth and the evolution of mankind.
Std VI contributed detailed projects on the Vedic and Harappan civilizations, physical divisions of India, and the effects of greenhouse gases. In addition, students prepared models of water transport, volcanoes, and globes, each executed with precision and originality.
The exhibition attracted keen interest from students of Std IV, V, and VI, who explored the exhibits with curiosity and enthusiasm. The participants not only demonstrated their grasp of Social Science concepts but also polished their presentation, communication, and critical thinking skills through interactive explanations.
The event was a resounding success, highlighting the importance of project-based learning as a tool to strengthen understanding beyond textbooks. It reflected the young learners’ dedication, innovation, and teamwork, while reinforcing that hands-on exploration builds both confidence and intellectual growth.
