Teachers are unlocking the Future of Teaching: How AI is Transforming Classrooms in one Prompt at a Time
On October 7, 2026, educators from various schools under URC 10 of the BMC Education Department, gathered for an impactful and transformative three-hour training session from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. Dedicating their time for Google AI Educator Series, the workshop aimed to equip teachers with cutting-edge artificial intelligence skills, centred around the powerful capabilities of the Gemini App.
As education rapidly evolves, staying ahead of technological advancements is no longer optional—it is essential. This workshop bridged the gap between modern technology and pedagogy, giving teachers practical methods to bring AI into their daily lesson planning and classroom engagement.
The training was rich in practical applications, demonstrating how AI can turn routine lessons into extraordinary learning experiences.
Key modules and tools covered in the workshop included:
* Image & Visual Creation: Learning to generate tailored, high-quality educational illustrations and visual aids on demand, making complex concepts visually intuitive for students.
* Music & Audio Innovation: Exploring creative sound and music creation tools to add multi-sensory dimensions to storytelling, history lessons, and creative arts.
* Interactive Lessons via Canvas: Harnessing Canvas to build dynamic, engaging, and interactive lesson plans that keep students actively involved.
* Guided Learning & Custom Pedagogy: Utilizing guided learning techniques to cater to diverse learning paces and offer personalized support to every student. Teachers can make use of Google AI to prepare self-learning quizzes.
* Deep Research Capabilities: Employing AI-assisted deep research features to gather comprehensive insights, synthesize information quickly, and curate rich academic resources with speed and precision.
Beyond the free features, the session provided a detailed look into the extended capabilities available in the paid version of Gemini, showcasing advanced tools designed for deep institutional workflows.
What made the session truly stand out was the expertise and approach of the resource person. Rather than focusing purely on theory, the trainer led with live demonstrations followed by step-by-step, hands-on activities. Teachers actively experimented with the Gemini App in real-time, drafting prompts, creating multimedia content, and testing interactive lesson layouts.
The interactive structure made the three hours feel incredibly fast-paced, insightful, and highly practical. The session was deeply rewarding, equipping every attendee with the tools and confidence to embrace the changing educational landscape. At the close of the workshop, participants completed a comprehensive feedback form with a questionnaire and were awarded official digitized certificates of completion. By embracing tools like the Gemini App, the teachers under URC 10 have taken a confident step forward to create smarter, more engaging, and future-ready classrooms.
