"The smallest step towards responsible disposal can make a big difference in protecting our planet.”
The Primary Section of Don Bosco High School, Matunga, organised an E-Waste Collection Drive on 31st October 2026. This initiative was taken to create awareness among students about the importance of responsible electronic waste disposal.
The teachers explained the meaning of E waste to the students and the need to dispose it off in a responsible manner. Students enthusiastically participated by bringing in discarded electronic items from their homes.
This initiative aimed to create awareness among children about the harmful effects of improper e-waste disposal and the importance of recycling and reusing electronic materials. Everyday examples, such as recycling electronic components to manufacture new gadgets and exchange offers provided by electronic stores, were discussed to help students understand responsible e-waste management.
The collected e-waste was brought together as part of the school's effort to promote environmentally responsible habits. The activity helped students understand that electronic waste should not be mixed with regular household garbage but must be disposed of through appropriate collection and recycling channels.
It was a meaningful initiative that encouraged young learners to become responsible citizens and contribute towards a cleaner, greener and healthier environment.
