“DRUG FREE INDIA”

The Department organized a seminar on "DRUG FREE INDIA" in collaboration with the Government of India on 30th July 2026. The event aimed to raise awareness and garner support towards creating a drug-free society, with special emphasis on student well-being and community participation.
Our Staff Members Ms. Arnaaz and Ms. Ketki, along with two parent representatives, represented our institution. Approximately 15,000 participants from schools across Mumbai attended the event. Event was hosted at NSCI Dome Worli from 10:00 AM-12:30 PM.
The event commenced with a soulful prayer song, followed by vibrant performances (dances, skits, and acts) by students from various schools. The theme of all performances was "Drug Free India", focusing on community support and building a better future for the next generation.
1. Chief Guest Address
Shri Devendra Fadnavis (Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra) graced the event as the Chief Guest. He highlighted the importance of student well-being, mental health support, and guiding individuals away from substance abuse and unhealthy lifestyles. He urged all participants to take a
Pledge for a Drug-Free India, which he led.

- Shri Mangal Prabhat Lodha (Hon’ble Minister, Government of Maharashtra)
- Senior officials from the Education Department
- Educationists and representatives from participating schools
All dignitaries stressed the need for collaboration between schools, parents, counselors, and the community to make this initiative successful.
A special message from Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi was read out, focusing on:
- The national vision for student welfare
- The pivotal role of counselors in shaping young minds
- The need for a supportive ecosystem in schools and society
The Training Manual for Counselors was officially launched during the event. The manual is designed to equip counselors with practical tools and guidelines for effective student guidance and support.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks, followed by the National Anthem and State Anthem.
