Celebrates Teachers’ Day

“A teacher is a compass that activates the magnets of curiosity, knowledge and wisdom..”

Teachers’ Day is a special occasion to honour and appreciate the teachers who nurture young minds, guide students with patience and dedication, and inspire them to become the best versions of themselves. It is a day to acknowledge the invaluable contribution of teachers in shaping the lives and future of their students. The day also reminds us of the selfless spirit of St. Teresa of Calcutta (Mother Teresa), whose life was a beautiful example of love, compassion and service to others.

On 4th September, the celebration began with students from the Secondary, Primary and Pre-Primary sections expressing their love and gratitude towards their teachers. Students wished and greeted their teachers, the helping staff and the office staff, making them feel truly special. Their heartfelt gestures were a beautiful expression of appreciation for all those who work tirelessly for the school community.

We are also deeply grateful to the PTA, who expressed their love and appreciation towards the teachers on this special occasion. Their thoughtful gesture added warmth and joy to the celebration.

On 5th September, the day began with a special Mass for teachers in the church, seeking God’s blessings and expressing gratitude for the vocation of teaching. It was a meaningful beginning to a day dedicated to celebrating the teachers and their contribution.

This was followed by a lively and meaningful programme presented by the Secondary School students. Through a wonderful skit and dance performances, the students beautifully conveyed their appreciation and gratitude to the teachers, non-teaching staff, sports coaches and all the former teachers who had been an integral part of the Don Bosco family.

The Games Committee then took over and added a fun-filled touch to the celebration with an exciting session of games and dance. Laughter, music and cheerful participation created a joyful atmosphere, giving everyone an opportunity to relax, enjoy and celebrate together.

The Teachers’ Day celebration was truly a beautiful blend of gratitude, faith, appreciation and togetherness, reminding everyone that a teacher’s influence reaches far beyond the classroom and leaves a lasting imprint on the hearts and lives of students.
