DON BOSCO HIGH SCHOOL, MATUNGA U-14 FOOTBALL TEAM DISPLAYS GRIT AND DETERMINATION AT THE MSSA UTPAL SANGHVI CUP.

Mr. Barrington Serrao

The U-14 Football Team of Don Bosco High School, Matunga, put up a spirited performance against St. Stanislaus High School, Bandra, in the MSSA UTPAL SANGHVI CUP on 7th October 2026 at Wings Football Turf, Bandra.

St. Stanislaus took an early lead in the opening minutes, but our boys displayed admirable resilience and determination, battling hard throughout the match. Their perseverance paid off in the dying moments, when they scored a dramatic equaliser to level the score and take the match into a penalty shootout.

Despite their valiant efforts, Don Bosco High School, Matunga, narrowly lost the shootout 2–0. While the result was disappointing, the team’s fighting spirit, composure and refusal to give up until the final whistle were truly commendable.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Coach Luke for his guidance, encouragement and dedicated efforts in preparing the team.

Well played, boys! Your fighting spirit makes Don Bosco High School, Matunga, proud.
