DBISMUN 2025: Shaping Tomorrow’s Leaders Today
The Don Bosco International School Model United Nations (DBISMUN) is a prestigious inter-school conference where young delegates step into the shoes of global leaders to address real-world challenges. By engaging in dynamic debates, in-depth research, and persuasive public speaking, participants represent various countries and work collaboratively to find solutions to pressing international issues.
The latest edition, DBISMUN 2025, was held on August 8th and 9th, bringing together over 100 talented student delegates from multiple schools, each committed to fostering dialogue and understanding in the spirit of the United Nations. For the very first time, 18 students of Don Bosco High School, Matunga proudly participated in this conference. Below is their first-hand experience of this enriching journey.
“As a key transit country, Morocco’s position emphasized international cooperation, humanitarian aid, and safe migration pathways. Over two days of lobbying, debate, and resolution drafting, I worked with fellow delegates to propose measures for enhanced support to transit countries, anti-trafficking initiatives, and legal migration frameworks. The final resolution passed with strong support, making DBISMUN a valuable experience in diplomacy, negotiation, and global problem-solving.” Gurvansh Sehgal 10B
“Multiple head-to-head battles, open floors, and crises showing up every now and then, it only made the committee even more entertaining and engaging. The key factor that I personally liked was asking for feedback by the secretariat of DBISMUN, Aarush Kamdar, from every single member from each and every committee.” Shriyans Kanagaraj 10F
“I learned a lot about global issues, diplomacy, and teamwork, while also improving my speaking and debating skills. The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff’s kindness and politeness made the atmosphere even more welcoming. It was a lifetime experience I will always treasure.” Vibhor Agarwal 10E
