Children’s Day Celebration

“Children are the heartbeat of tomorrow”
The Children’s Day celebration held on 14th November 2025, at Don Bosco High School, Matunga, (Primary Section) was a vibrant and joyful event filled with excitement, laughter, and memorable experiences for all students. The day began with great enthusiasm as children arrived at school dressed in colourful clothes, eager to take part in the festivities.
The morning assembly set a cheerful tone for the celebration. The Head Teacher extended warm wishes to all the students, greeting them with a heartfelt “Happy Children’s Day” and encouraging them to enjoy a day full of fun and learning. After the assembly, the class teachers gave a brief introduction to the significance of Children’s Day, highlighting the life and values of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. Action Songs were sung in class that kept the children happy and lively. An age- appropriate worksheet relevant to the day kept the children engaged with solving word searches, puzzles, lots of colouring and other activities. The charts made by all the teachers for this day were eye catching.
The children were escorted to the Joseph Casti Hall in the Primary building for an energetic Zumba session. The hall echoed with lively music as students danced enthusiastically to rhythmic beats. Their energy and enthusiasm were evident as they participated wholeheartedly.
After lunch, the celebration continued with a movie and entertainment session. The children enjoyed watching a selection of movies and videos that kept them engaged and cheerful. This was followed by the most eagerly awaited part of the day — playing games. A variety of fun games were organized, and the students participated with great thrill and sportsmanship. The children`s joy knew no bounds when they received prizes for the games that they had won and gifts from their teachers to take home.
The day concluded on a delightful note, leaving the children with smiles, joy, and wonderful memories to cherish. Many students shared their thoughts about the celebration, expressing how much they had enjoyed the activities and how special the day had made them feel.

Mrs Tejashree, teacher of Std IV D observed and commented, “Children’s Day became truly magical today — a fabulous celebration where little hearts danced through Zumba, laughed through games, and created memories that will sparkle forever.”
The Children’s Day celebration of 2025 was a resounding success, filled with happiness, learning, and unforgettable moments for every child.
