Celebrating Faith with our Newly Ordained Priests
‘Faith grows when we listen, learn, and reflect.’
- Ms. Carol Fernandes
A solemn Holy Eucharist was celebrated on 10 January 2026 at Don Bosco High School, Matunga, for the students of Standards 5 to 8. The morning Mass was celebrated by the newly ordained Salesian priests—Fr. Christopher Nadar, Fr. Sheldon Dias, and Fr. Aegidius Pereira. The liturgy reminded everyone that when we pray with trust, God listens to us, and like John the Baptist, we are called to place Christ at the centre of our lives.
After the Mass, the priests interacted with the students by dividing them into small groups. The children eagerly asked questions about the priests’ lives, their vocation, challenges, and their journey of faith. The priests patiently answered the questions, shared inspiring experiences, and encouraged the students to trust God and follow the right path. The discussion concluded with a meaningful prayer.
The students learned the importance of faith, prayer, humility, and listening to God’s call. They felt happy, inspired, and blessed to interact closely with the newly ordained priests. The experience strengthened their faith and left them with a sense of joy and gratitude.
