“Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all.” – St. John Bosco
The students of Std. I to IV of Don Bosco Primary School, Matunga celebrated the feast of St. John Bosco on 30th January, 2026 with great devotion and enthusiasm, keeping alive his spirit and teachings. The statue of St. Don Bosco in the Primary building was beautifully decorated, creating an atmosphere of joy, reverence, and celebration across the campus.
Students actively participated in worksheet activities that helped them understand the life and values of Don Bosco in a simple and meaningful manner. Melodious hymns sung in his honour filled the air with prayer and happiness, while teachers’ morning talks inspired students by highlighting his love for children, discipline, and spirit of service. A PowerPoint presentation on the life of Don Bosco gave students a vivid and visual understanding of his mission and work. Sharing his experience, Master Viyan Pinto of Std. IV C said, “During my preparation for the feast of Don Bosco, I learnt to make an effort to practise his values in everything I do—caring for those in need, sharing my blessings, and creating moments that truly matter.”
Teacher Ms. Meril Menezes also expressed her feelings, saying, "Bosco Week was a meaningful experience for students as they learned about the life of St. John Bosco and sang hymns in his honour. His inspiring teachings motivated them to follow good values and become better individuals.”
