ANIMAL DAY (Jr KG Class Event) – 10TH DECEMBER’ 25

ANIMAL DAY (Jr KG Class Event) – 10TH DECEMBER’ 25Ms. Bhavika Mehta“Animals are wonderful companions in our world, and guiding children to care for them builds kindness from the start.”While the Jr. KG students of Savio Kindergarten were engaged in learning about animals as part of Unit 3, the teachers planned Animal Day as a meaningful class event to help deepen their understanding of the animal world. To further enrich their learning, a field trip to the zoo was also organised, allowing the children to observe animals in real-life settings.Animal Day was joyfully celebrated on 10th December 2025, filling the school with excitement, curiosity, and creativity. The event aimed to strengthen the children’s understanding of the diverse animal world—wild animals, pet animals, and domestic animals—all of which they had been learning about in class. The classroom came alive with stunning animal-themed decorations, including bright posters, eye-catching cutouts, and vibrant illustrations. These engaging visuals created a lively environment that sparked imagination and encouraged exploration. One of the most delightful parts of the celebration was the animal role-play activity. The children stepped into the roles of their favourite animals with great enthusiasm—mimicking movements, sounds, and behaviours. Each child proudly wore a handcrafted animal mask that added charm to their performance while boosting their confidence. The boys also shared a few lines about their chosen animals, speaking clearly and confidently about interesting facts and special characteristics. To deepen the learning experience, the children were gently guided on the importance of showing kindness, care, and protection towards animals, helping them develop compassion and responsibility from an early age. Their learning was further enriched by their visit to the nearby zoo, which offered them a chance to see animals first hand and make meaningful connections to what they had learned in class. The children happily took home their colourful masks as lovely keepsakes—reminders of a memorable day filled with laughter, creativity, and joyful learning. The celebration beautifully blended knowledge, fun, and awareness, inspiring the young learners to appreciate, respect, and care for the amazing creatures that share our planet.“Let us value and protect animals—they make our world truly wonderful.”
