“A new school year is a new adventure waiting to begin.”

Don Bosco High School, Matunga, joyfully reopened its doors for the academic year 2026 - 27, welcoming students back to a vibrant atmosphere filled with excitement, enthusiasm, and renewed energy.

The new academic year began on 15th June, 2026 for the Primary Section (Std.II to IV) and the entire Secondary Section.

The day commenced with a warm welcome by the school management and a short assembly, setting a positive tone for the months ahead. Students were inspired by an encouraging address from our Rector, Rev. Fr. Godfrey D’Souza, who urged them to approach the year with dedication, discipline, and a spirit of excellence. He reminded them that every new beginning brings opportunities to learn, grow, and make a positive difference.

Adding to the excitement, the Head Teacher of the Primary Section, Mrs. Griselda Fernandes welcomed the boys with a creatively made Selfie Booth. Students eagerly captured joyful moments with their classmates and teachers, creating happy memories of their first day back at school.

The youngest members of the Don Bosco family joined school over the following days. Standard I and Senior KG students began their academic journey on 16th June, followed by Junior KG on 17th June and Nursery on 19th June, 2026. Each group received a warm and thoughtful welcome from the school community. An orientation programme was conducted for parents and students of the Kindergarten and Standard I sections. These sessions introduced them to the school’s vision, routines, expectations, and learning environment, helping ensure a smooth and confident transition into the new academic year.

Inspired by the educational philosophy of St. John Bosco, the school believes that every child should feel loved, valued, and cared for. In keeping with this spirit, teachers went the extra mile to make every student feel welcomed, comfortable, and secure from the very first day. reflecting the true spirit of Don Bosco, an environment where learning is enriched by joy, care, and a sense of belonging.

As the academic year 2026–27 unfolds, the Don Bosco family looks forward to another enriching year of learning, character formation, friendship, and excellence, firmly grounded in the values of reason, religion, and loving-kindness.
