A COLOURFUL FLIGHT OF LEARNING – BIRDS

“Birds are nature’s little wonders—colourful, graceful and free, reminding us to care for the world we share.”

With their cheerful songs, vibrant colours and graceful flight, birds bring life and beauty to our surroundings. Our Senior KG children explored the fascinating world of birds through a fun-filled and meaningful Class Event on “Birds” held on 9th September 2026.

The classroom transformed into a lively aviary as our little learners came dressed as their favourite birds. From colourful parrots and graceful peacocks to tiny sparrows and majestic eagles, each child proudly represented a particular bird. Wearing creative bird bands and cut-outs as props, they added a wonderful splash of colour and excitement to the event.

The children confidently shared three interesting sentences about their assigned birds, learning about their unique features, habits and characteristics. This activity not only enhanced their knowledge but also encouraged them to speak with confidence and express themselves.

The highlight of the event was a special skit presented by the teachers, which conveyed an important message about protecting our feathered friends. Through simple situations, the children learnt how cutting down trees can leave birds without homes, discarded chewing gum and waste can be dangerous when swallowed, and abandoned kite strings can entangle their wings and legs. The skit gently reminded our young learners that our actions can make a difference in the lives of birds.

To further enrich their learning, the children watched engaging videos showcasing different kinds of birds, their colours, sounds, habitats and fascinating ways of life.

The Class Event was a delightful blend of learning, creativity, confidence and compassion. More than just learning about birds, our little learners discovered an important lesson—to protect nature, care for living beings and let every bird continue to soar freely in the sky.
