7E-Assembly: Weaving the Colours of the Tiranga into Stories of Resilience.
On the proud occasion of National Flag Adoption Day, the students of Class VII E presented a power-packed assembly themed “Tiranga – Rising Above Challenges” at Fr. Bernard Hall at 8:40 a.m., celebrating the resilience, courage, and unity embodied by our National Flag.
The programme commenced with a solemn salute to the National Anthem, School Anthem, and a heartfelt School Prayer led by Ms. Pauline Vallado. This was followed by a calming meditation session conducted by Ms. Natasha Dsouza, encouraging students to find “stillness in a busy world” and embrace inner clarity.
Anchored gracefully by student comperes, the highlight of the assembly was a powerful skit titled “Tiranga – Rising Above Challenges.” Through the dialogue of a curious student and a wise teacher, the audience was taken on an inspiring journey that paid tribute to legendary patriots like Captain Vikram Batra, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, and Major D.P. Singh. Each scene portrayed the triumph of the human spirit over adversity, driving home the message:
“Every setback is a setup for a stronger comeback.”
The skit was followed by a motivational musical performance and an energetic dance, both symbolizing courage, hope, and the pursuit of dreams. The grand finale brought all characters together on stage with the resonant message:
“The Tiranga flies not because the wind moves it, but because of the breath of every patriot who refused to give up.”
The event concluded with a heartfelt address by our administrator, Rev. Fr. Orville Coutinho, who commended the creativity, grace, and spirit of Class 7E. He compared their performance to a National Day celebration and emphasized how the Tiranga evokes strength, courage, and the memory of countless sacrifices. He reminded the audience of the importance of respecting the National Flag every day, not just on ceremonial occasions, and warned against the casual neglect it sometimes faces.
Acknowledging the backstage efforts and the energy of class teacher Ms. Natasha, he reminded everyone that the true essence of such assemblies lies in facing and overcoming challenges together. He urged the students to rise above divisions of language, caste, or creed, and live out the values the flag represents: unity, respect, and dedication.
The programme beautifully captured the spirit of rising above adversity, proving that when the spirit is strong, no challenge is too great.
