6D Assembly Report
On 19th September, 2025, Class 6D conducted their assembly on the theme of World Ozone Day in Fr. Bernard Hall. The purpose of the assembly was to spread awareness about the importance of the ozone layer and the need to protect it.
The assembly began with a prayer and a soothing meditation by Ms. Vandana drawing everyone’s attention to the importance of colours in our lives.The backdrop titled ‘ Ozone – The Sky Blanket of Hope’ was based on the theme of the year. The students enacted as the Earth, the Sun, Ozone layer, CFC spray, Fridge. to help the audience visualize the characters. Students delivered informative speeches explaining the role of the ozone layer in shielding Earth from the harmful ultraviolet rays. A special reference was made to the Montreal Protocol, the international agreement signed in 1987 to phase out substances responsible for ozone depletion. Students explained how this treaty became a successful example of global cooperation to save the environment.
A skit was performed to make everyone aware of the harmful effects of ozone depletion on humans, animals, and plants. It showcased the CFC gases affecting the ozone layer. It also highlighted how excessive UV rays can cause health issues, reduce crop yield, and disturb ecosystems, putting wildlife and nature at risk. Posters and charts were displayed with messages such as “Protect the Ozone, Protect Life” and “Save Nature, Save Future.”
The assembly included a dance performance which conveyed a message that today’s children play a vital role in protecting the future generations. The Principal appreciated the efforts of the students and emphasized the importance of adopting eco-friendly habits in daily life to protect the planet.
