Congratulations to our U-16 Football Team
Congratulations to our U-16 Football Team.
We played against Don Bosco High School, Borivali on 11th August 2025.
Our boys showed remarkable grit and determination and secured 3rd place in this nail- biting football match.
Don Bosco, Borivali fought back with two equalizers to remain in the game.
We took the lead with a score of 1-0, which was Equalized.
We got a 2nd chance and again took an exciting lead with a score of 2-1. Unfortunately this score also turned into an Equalizer.
Though the result was decided in a tense penalty shootout by the opponents, we won with a score of 5-4.
We walk away proud of our performance, spirit, and never-give-up attitude. Well done, team!”
Special Thanks to our Coach, Coach Leslie for his efforts in training our boys and also to our parents for their support and encouragement.

Congratulations to our U-12 Football Champs
Congratulations to our U-12 Football Champs, winners of the MSSA Inter- School Football Tournament held at MSSA Grounds Azad Maidan, Mumbai on 13th Dec’24.
In the Finals against St. Anne’s School, Orlem, after a disappointing score of 1-0 in the 1st half, our little Champs fought back and equalized with a score of 1-1 in the 2nd half.
During the Penalty Shoot out our Goal Keeper, Dharav was exceptional in the goal and took us towards the winning spot.
Dharav proved his excellent skills as a Goal keeper and our School was triumphant with a roaring score of 4-2 in the Finals.
The entire Team played with extreme dedication and passion towards the game.
Special Thanks to our Coach Luke for his excellent Training and for always motivating his Team.

1) Champions of the MSSA Utpal Sanghvi 2023 – 2024 held at Goans Sports Ground, Marine lines, 15th Dec’23.
In a scintillating finish we beat Cathedral and John Cannon School via a tie-breaker(4-3).
2) Mumbai City Champions of The Inter-school DSO, 2023 – 2024
3) DSO Shalay Interschool Zonals 2023…Runners Up.
4) DSO Under 14 Subroto Cup 2023 – 2024…3rd

Once again our boys showed their determination and strength as they beat Cathedral & John Cannon School in the climatic finale played at Karnataka Ground Azad Maidan on 14th October 2023.
Our Team proudly captained by Avanish Bhaigade and a fantastic performance by our stars in a nail biting victory( tie-breaker) of 6 – 5 through goals scored by
Alvin Andrade, Affan Mirza, Jacob Singh, Hardik Dange, Bhavya Sandish & Avanish Bhaigade have made us all proud.
Our Goal Keeper Eshant Nikam displayed some splendid saves.
The entire Team have made us all proud .
We now qualify for the Zonals which will be played shortly.

Congratulations to our U-17 football team, winner’s of the DSO Shalay Football tournament held at Karnataka Ground, Fort.
We beat St. Pauls High School 1-0 in the city finals.
We now qualify for the Zonal to be played soon.

Congratulations to our U-14 star football player Avanish Bhaigade from class 8-D, who has been selected to represent Maharashtra U-14 Football team at the National level 2023-24
Avanish has proved true to the words of our late Principal Fr. Bernard who said “An all-round Athlete and a Sports prodigy”.
We are grateful to the Western India Football Association (WIFA), who has recognized and encouraged such young talent in the field of Sports.

Don Bosco u-14 football team bags the runner-up trophy at the YSA cup championship
The Don Bosco u-14 football team were the runners up at the YSA cup championship played at Neville D’Souza turf Bandra on 13th Feb 2022.
Four of our players, Yohaan Panjuani , Aayush Kharat , Ethan Fernandes & Arya Kamble were awarded the man of the match awards in different matches. Arya Kamble also won the best player of the tournament scoring the highest number of goals.
Our young soccer champs lift the first Boscoites Cup!
In the first ‘Boscoites’ Cup organized by the DBHS Matunga parents and football enthusiasts under the banner ISPL (Indian Sports Premier League), our boys emerged champions. The u-14 open tournament was organized on DB Matunga grounds on 12th and 19th December 2021.

Displaying a gutsy performance, theDon Bosco u-14 football team won the Annual Priyadarshini tournament played on 9th– 10th Oct 2021. The team won the finals beating “YCP A TEAM” 1-0.

Don Bosco u-15 Football team wins Youth League Cup!
Don Bosco u 15 football boys won the “Youth league CUP” played at “Andheri Sports Complex ‘ Andheri West on 12th September 2021. In a nail biting finish Don Bosco won their game defeating SSFA Rangers 3-0 in the finals. Harsh Kadam,Senior of Don Bosco was awarded the best goal keeper of the tournament.

U-14 football team are runners-up at the TOTAL FA COMMUNITY SHIELF CUP
Don Bosco u 14 football boys struck silver in the “THE TOTAL FA COMMUNITY SHIELD CUP” played at “WINGS SPORTS CENTRE” Bandra East on 5th September 2021. In a nail biting finish Don Bosco lost to Vigour football academy 1-0 in the finals.
Master Atharva Gaonkar of Don Bosco was awarded the best goal keeper of the tournament.

Don Bosco u 14 team struck gold by winning the “LEAGUE OF OUR OWN” TROPHY defeating Total Football Academy 2-0 in the finals on 29th Aug 2021. Venue: Goan Turf.

Don Bosco Matunga u-16 football team won the Independence cup beating Bombay Scottish 4 – 2 on 15th Aug 2021.

Football U-12 A team clinches the Kenkre trophy!
The Bosco u 12 A team continues its winning streak by becoming champions of the Qatar Airways KENKERE championship league completed on Sunday 01 March 2020. In the course of the tournament, our boys played 7 matches and won all the 7 matches.

u-10 and u-12 football teams are MDFA champions!
Don Bosco u 12 football team emerged champions of the MDFA for the second year in a row. The team beat Kenkre FC 3-0 in the finals played on Sunday, 23 Feb 2020. Master Yohaan Panjuani was awarded the star of the match (finals).
In the same tournament, our u -10 boys won the finals in their category beating YSA 3-0.

The u-8 football team clinched the third place in the MSSA organized trophy held in Jan 2020.

u-14 football team clinches the silver in the MSSA organized Utpal Sanghvi tournament
The u-14 football team settled for the runners-up trophy in the Utpal Sanghvi tournament organized by the MSSA on 21st Dec 2019. The team lost the finals against Stanislaus High School, Bandra 5-4 in the penalty shootout at Goan grounds, Fort.
u-12 football team clinches the SFA trophy
Our U 12 football team clinched the u-12 SFA trophy for the second year in succession. The team beat Utpal Sanghvi in the finals 3-0 played at University grounds, Kalina on 12th Dec 2019. In the same tournament, the u-10 team secured the runners-up trophy.

Don Bosco Matunga u-14 team is Reliance Cup Mumbai city champion; u-16 team settles for the silver.
The RFYS Mumbai City football tournament ended on a high for the winners Don Bosco Matunga u-14 boys who trounced their opponents 6-0 in the finals played on 10th Dec 2019. Young talented Yohaan scored a hat trick in the match and was awarded the player of the match for the third time in succession for his scintillating display. It was a happy moment also for Harsh Kadam from Std 8D who won the best goalkeeper award.
Our u-16 team missed out on the Champions trophy losing the finals (played on the same day) via the tie breaker against Fr. Agnel’s.

U-12 Football ‘B’ team secures the runners up trophy in the Div II MSSA tournament.
The school u-12 football B team won the second place in the Div II MSSA football tournament. In the finals played on 7th September, our boys lost to Utpal Sanghvi (Juhu) in the tie-breaker. The score was tied 1-1 at full time.

MSSA u-12 football team claims the runners-up trophy!
Our talented u-12 school football team clinched the runners-up trophy in the MSSA organized inter school football tournament. In the finals played on 29th Nov 2019 at Azad maidan, our boys lost 2-0 to Campion school in the 9-a-side football tournament.
Master Yohaan Panjuani (Std 6 D) was declared the player of the tournament.

Our U/12 and U/10 football teams won the St Dominic Savio Golden Jubilee Football tournament played at Dominic Savio High School , Andheri on 21st Nov. 2019 on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee celebration of the school.

Three titles in as many tournaments for our u-16 football team – Ahmed Sailor Cup champs again!
It has been a glorious run for our u-16/u-17 football team this scholastic year. Having earlier annexed the MSSA Div I title earlier this year, the team went on to win the DSO title (City and District, 3rd place in Maharashtra). The school u-16 team won the MSSA organized Ahmed Sailor cup yet again defeating Catherdal & John Cannon (Fort) 4-3 in the finals played at Cooperage on 10th Oct 2019.

The school U/17 Football team won the DSO Shalay inter-school football tournament played at the Police Ground, Naigaon. We beat Bombay Scottish High School 5-4 via tie-breaker in the finals on Sunday 29th Sept 2019

Vedant Sawant represents Maharashtra at West Zone Sub-Junior National Football Championship for boys
Master Vedant Sawant of Std 10 was chosen to represent the state of Maharashtra at the West Zone Sub-Junior National Football Championship for boys held at Madhya Pradesh from 7th to 12th September 2019. Maharashtra is one of the top eight teams that has qualified for the final round of the National championship that is going to take place in November 2019.

u-14 football team claims 3rd place at DSO state championship!
The school u-14 football team clinched the third place at the State level DSO organized tournament. In the match played for the third-fourth place at Washim near Aurangabad. Our boys beat Nashik 3-0 to win the trophy. Earlier in the first match we won Aurangabad 7-0 while in the semifinals our boys lost 1-0 to Pune.

Football – We are district champions!
The school u-14 football team has made it to the state championship of the DSO organized Subroto cup tournament. In the finals played on 7th Aug 2019 at Fr. Agnel’s grounds, Vashi, our boys claimed the district championship defeating the Mumbai suburban champions (St. Stanislaus, Bandra) in the finals 2-1 via the tie breaker. The match was goalless at the final whistle.
Our way to the finals at the zonal level:
First match played on 6th August 2019, against Palghar District. We won 8-0.
Second Match Played against Navi Mumbai on the same day. Score was tied 1-1 at full time. We won 4-1 in the tie-breaker.

U-16 school football team claims MSSA Div I title for the 20th time!
In one of the oldest inter-school MSSA tournament, our u-16 team laid their hands on the coveted trophy for the 20th time overall. Our boys won 2-0 in the finals against Bombay Scottish Mahim at Cooperage grounds, Mumbai on Monday 29th July 2019.

Our u-14 football team wins Mumbai city championship title!
Our u-14 school football team has won the Mumbai city champions title defeating St. Mary’s ICSE, Mazgaon in the finals. In the DSO organized championship match played at Police grounds, Naigaon, on Tuesday 23 July, 2019, our boys won by a 2-0 margin to clinch the title.

Bosco boys shine at MDFA awards night
The Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA) conducted the Yuva President League (YPL) that began on 15th August ‘2018 and ended on 26th January ‘2019. Our boys playing in the tournament brought the cup home as winners in the u12 category and runners-up in the u10 category.
Three of our Bosco boys were awarded in different categories on 4 May 2019 at the MDFA AWARDS NIGHT organized by MDFA at the Cooperage stadium.

Master Karsten D’Souza shortlisted for football trials for National team 2019.
Master Karsten D’Souza of Std X has been selected for the trial camp to be held in Goa from 20th March 2019. It is a preparation camp and trials for the football National team 2019.

U-8 football team secures 3rd place at MSSA tournament
The school u-8 football team won the 3rd place in the MSSA inter school football tournament played at Azad Maidan on 16 Feb 2019. We beat St. Stanislaus 4-0 in the playoff for the 3rd and 4th position.
