Entrusted to Lead: Student Council Election 2026–27

The Student Council Election at Don Bosco High School, Matunga was held on 28th February 2026 with great enthusiasm and responsibility. The formation of the Student Council provides students with a platform to develop leadership qualities while fostering values such as integrity, teamwork, and accountability. The Council serves as the voice of the student body, representing students’ ideas and concerns within the school community.

The election process was conducted in stages to ensure fairness and transparency. Students first submitted their nominations, after which the Heads and Supervisors shortlisted candidates based on academic excellence, sports achievements, discipline, and overall conduct.

Campaigning began on 23rd February 2026 with creative posters displayed across the campus. On 28th February, candidates addressed the student body through speeches delivered over the school intercom before voting commenced. Students from Grades 7, 8, and 9 cast their votes through an online system, ensuring a democratic and anonymous process.

The Student Council for 2026–27 is as follows:

School Captain – Keith Saldhana; School Vice-Captain – Darshan Dharmaraj; Discipline Captain – Rushaan Marolikar; Discipline Vice-Captain – Imtiyaz Shah; Sports and Activity Captain – Keith Goshi; Sports and Activity Vice-Captain – Lathaniel Gomes; House Captains – Jiyaan Shah, Angelo Dsouza, Idrees Culteriwala, Ethan Dsouza; House Vice-Captains – Malhar Gargote, Royston Lobo, Anay Anchan, Kiaan Shetye; Working Committee Captain – Shroth Sangishetty; Working Committee Vice-Captain – Raj Kadam.

The election reflected democratic values and marked the beginning of responsible leadership for the academic year 2026–27.
