Congratulate our outstanding winners in Athletics

We are proud to Congratulate our outstanding winners in Athletics who have brought glory to our school with their exceptional performances.

In the Bombay City District Junior Championship held at PDP grounds, Napeansea Road on 21st and 22nd August 2025, the following Athletes were victorious:
1) Roden Koli- 1st place
– Gold medal – 600 MTRS for boys under 16 yrs.
2) Rajaditya Deshmukh- 1st place
– Gold medal – High jump
– 1st in Penthalon:
60 Metres Run
80 Metres Run
600 Metre Run
Long Jump
Short Put
Rajaditys’s total points aggregated to 1909 points.

Both Champions have now qualified for the Maharashtra Junior State meet to be held from 2nd September to 5th September 2025 at Pune.

Their dedication, discipline, and determination on the track and field have been truly inspiring.

A special word of gratitude to our Coach, Coach John Lewis for all his hard work and whose constant guidance and encouragement have helped shape this success.

This achievement is a reflection of teamwork, perseverance, and the never-give-up spirit of our athletes.

Well done, champions—you have made the school proud!

MSSA – Interschool Athletics – Our School bags the Hosey A. Mistry Memorial Trophy for the Highest Aggregate Points in the U-16, Boys Senior Category; Ace athlete Aarya Kandakumar clinches the ‘BEST BOY ATHLETE of the meet’ Trophy.

More details of the awards at the MSSA meet:

In the Interschool Mumbai school sports Association 127th Annual Athletics Championship, held on 19th February, 2022, at University Pavillon, Marine Lines, the following Athletes of our school did us proud.

  1. Aarya Kandakumar of Std 10-A, secured 4 gold medals in the Boys Seniors U-16 category.

100 metres Run with New Meet Record of 11.00 secs.

200 metres Run with a timing of 23.00 secs.

Long Jump with a New meet Record of 6.78 metres.

Triple Jump with a distance of 12.99 metres.

He received the BEST BOY ATHLETE of the meet Trophy and the Boys Seniors Individual Championship Trophy with 20 points. Aarya also received the Jal D Pardiwala Trophy for the Fastest Boy Athlete.

  1. Rishi Jathan Std 8 D secured bronze medal in the boys Intermediate U-14 category.

  2. Our School won the Hosey A Mistry Memorial Trophy for the Highest Aggregate Points in the U-16, Boys Senior Category with 28 points.

Master AaryaKandakumar does the school and the Maharashtra state proud – wins the top prize in long jump and 100 m sprint!

Master AaryaKandakumar of Std IX stood 1st in Long jump and 1st in 100 metres in the western Zone competition for boys under 16years. The competition was held from 24th to 26th Feb 2021 at Raipur

Aarya Kandakumar bags first place in 100 m and long jump at the Maharashtra state championship, qualifies for the Nationals.

Master Aarya Kandakumar of Std 9th stood 1st in 100 metres with a timing of 11.17sec and 1st in Long Jump with a distance of 6.60 metres in Boys under 16 category at the Maharashtra State Athletic meet held in Pune on 21st Jan 2021.

Aarya has now qualified for the National meet to be held at Assam next month

Aarya Kandakumar strikes silver representing the Maharashtra Athletics team at the National school games

Master Aarya Kandakumar 8-E and his Maharasthra teammates stood 2nd in the 4×100 relay for boys under-14 at the National school games held at Punjab from 4th to 8th Dec 2019. The Maharashtra team won the runner up trophy overall at the championship.

MSSA Athletics – A gold for Aarya Kandakumar and silver for the u-12 4×100 m relay

At the MSSA Inter-school Athletic meet held from 20th Nov 2019 to 22nd Nov 2019, our athletics team returned with a couple of medals.

Aarya Kandakumar secured the first gold for our School in the 200 metres for boys under 14 on day one.

On the third and last day of the championship, our under -12 boys team comprising Renish Nadar, Nishikant Kotian, Vignesh Nadar and Angadsingh Oberoi  stood 2nd in the 4×100 metres relay.

BCDAA meet – our school athletes shine!

The following boys of our school did us proud in the BCDAA meet held on 24th and 25th October2019 at University Pavilion, Marine Lines.

Boys under 8

Ethan Dsouza, Aditya Ghadge, Neel Dicholkar and Harshal Khawale stood 1st in the 4×50 metres shuttle relay.

Boys under 10

Royden Koli stood 2nd in 200 metres and 3rd in 80 metres Run.

Méhul Kocharekar, Argan Hussain, Shaurya Padwal n Asesssingh Sablok stood 3rdin 4×100 metres Relay.

Boys under 12

Vignesh Nadar stood 1st, Shon shinde stood 2nd and Porus Barge stood 3rd  in High Jump.

Rishi Jathan stood 3rd in Shot Put.

Boys under 14

Pranit Pandit stood 1st and Arya Karwade stood 2nd in High Jump.

Aarya Kandakumar stood 1st n 100metres and 1st in Long Jump.

Boys under 16

Arzaan Panthaky stood 3rd in High Jump.

Areeb Hussain stood 2nd in Shot Put and 2nd in Discuss Throw.

Shreemaan Dhuri Stood 1st in Javelin throw. Prathamesh Pawar stood 2nd in Javelin Throw.

Aarya wins National Bronze in Long jump

Our wonder athlete Aarya Kandakumar won the Bronze medal in Long Jump Boys u/14 in the recently held National Inter District Junior Athletic Meet(NIDJAM).  469 districts all over India participated in this national tournament held at Tirupathi (AP) from 23-25 Nov 2019. With a jump that measured 6.02 metres, Aarya made it to the top three among the finalists.

Aarya Kandakumar bags a hat trick of gold medals at the Inter-School DSO Athletic meet

Aarya Kandakumar of std 8-E, Won 3 gold medals (100 mts, 200 mts and long jump) in the boys U/14, at the interschool DSO Athletic meet held at the University Pavilion, Marine lines from 3rd to 5th October 2019. He will now represent the School at the Division level.

Pranit Pandit of Std 7-D  stood 3rd in High Jump in the boys U/14 at the same meet.

Master Aarya Kandakumar clinches silver at state level Junior Athletics Championship

Our talented athlete Master Aarya Kandakumar of Std 8-E, won the Silver Medal in Long Jump at the 35th Maharashtra State Junior Athletics Championship held at Ratnagiri on 17th August 2019.

Athletics – BCDAA meet: Aarya Kandakumar sets new meet record in long jump!                                 

At the BCDAA meet held on 11th and 12th July 2019 at university pavilion Marine lines the following boys won medals for their creditable performance.

Boys under 14

Aarya Kandakumar secured 1st place (Gold medal) in Long Jump with a New Meet record of 5.60 metres and secured 1st Place (Gold medal) in Triathlon with 1353 points.

Pranit Pandit – 1st in High Jump.

Boys under 16

Arzaan Panthaky – 2nd place (silver medal) in High Jump.

Shreemaan Dhuri – 3rd place (bronze medal) in High Jump and 1st place in Javelin.

Prathamesh Pawar – 2nd place in 5 Km Race walking.

Aaryaan Gagula – 2nd place in Discuss Throw for Boys

BCDAAA Sub Junior Athletics meet

In the BCDAAA Sub Junior Athletics meet held on 14th February 2019 at university sports pavilion, Marine lines, the following boys of our school were the winners:

Under 8 Category
Brendon Barretto, Sayhan Khan, Ethan Dsouza and Shaurya Padwal – Gold medal in the 4×50 metres shuttle relay.
Sayhan Khan – bronze medal in Long Jump.

Under 10 category
Mehul Kocharekar, Nishikant Kotian – silver medal in the 4×100 metres relay. Nishikant Kotian – silver medal in the 200 metres Run.

Under 12 category
Joel Nadar, Renish Nadar and Aashay Bhoyar – silver medal in the 4×100 metres relay.
Pranit Pandit – Gold in the High Jump.

Sayhan Khan and Nishikant Kotian were selected to represent Mumbai City team for the Maharashtra sub junior Athletic championship held at Shri Vithalrao Joshi Charities Trusts Sports Academy, Sawarde, Kasarwadi, Chiplun, Ratnagiri District on 2nd n 3rd of March 2019.
Nishikant Kotian represented Mumbai City and won bronze medal in the 4×100 metres relay for boys under 10.
